Post 1 of the Baby Shower: π

Hi Friends! π
Since I've been hanging out with you guys more than Normies lately, I'd like to invite you all to our Nostrich Baby Shower!
To make it fun, I've put together some trivia questions I'll be posting throughout the day. I hope you'll join in! π€©
As our son's arrival is quickly approaching (Due date in a month?!?!) all zaps are much appreciated so we can get all the baby things he'll need once he decides to come out!
If you have advice, feel free to leave that under this note too!π
I'll be posting the answers to each of the trivia questions at the end of the day. Look forward to hearing from you all!
Me thinking it was time to go to sleep, but the weather had a different idea π
I'd just laid down when the loudest hail hit our roof, followed by another one and then a whole bunch of them hitting. It was the loudest we've heard it here, and we've heard it pretty loud before!
Then rain followed and as we looked out the door, the boards we'd put on the sandy ground all washed away, only the pavers stayed in place, as a small river washed across our land.
Oh the adventures of living in Arizona π π€
Oh it was something super fancy π
Angel hair pasta with roasted garlic sauce (from a jar) made in the microwave π€£π€£π€£
Well, Nostr is new, and there are certain development cycles to go through. Like that awkward puberty stage. Maybe that's what vlogs are for Nostr? π€π€£π€£π€£
Recently, a ton of people became Noshole. I enjoyed those who mixed parts of their own profiles with Noshole's image. They were very creative! π€
Which one matches?
Bitcoin vs. XRP
Thinkers vs. "Because I said so"
(Thinkers refers to those who think for themselves when making decisions.
"Because I said so", refers to those who go along without necessarily knowing why.)
Wouldn't surprise me if it's a huge reason so many people simply "go along" with the mainstream narrative. They've been trained in, "do what I say, don't ask questions, just be compliant" especially if it comes from someone in authority.
Yes! Training him in thinking for himself. Well done! π₯³
I grew up in a "this is why" household. I didn't just survive, I thrived!
"Because I said so" is a cop out, and a decision to keep your kids in the dark, leading them to stop asking questions and needing to stumble through life and try to figure everything out themselves.
We will be training our kids in "why", so they grow up with consequential thinking, daring to ask questions, and understanding how and why things work like they do, without being stuck in guess work.
They will be trained in intelligence, "The ability to make finer distinctions".
(Saw this pic on fb. There's a reason they're there and not here...)π

I'm so happy I have a husband!
As by belly muscles are busy holding our son, sitting up in bed in the morning can be very uncomfortable, but I have a husband with a strong arm that I can ask to borrow, and my arm muscles are way easier to use to put myself up with than my belly muscles π
He doesn't "have to" help me, but when I ask, he likes to give me what I want/need. I feel so loved!
This is exactly what my husband and I would LOVE to have but haven't found a good option for yet.
If it's out there, we wanna know too! π€
Yay!!!! I finally made it!
I have successfully completed my wifely "duty" of having dinner ready when my husband comes home π₯³π₯³π₯³
Glad to get that checked off my listπ€£
Thank you! π
Yeah, theirs food regulations are made to kill people, seemingly, but when it comes to products, they're pretty good. I'd rather have something someone sourced from the USA, than from China or any other Asian country, or India. The regulations there are non existent and the point of their products are to be as cheap as possible.
People who still try to make things in USA are kinda like bitcoiners in the sense that they actually care about the quality they are providing.
Those who just say "made in USA" but still get imported materials are the fiat mindset ones I'd like to avoid.
I found a company called NuAngel, so I basically put all of their items that specified "made in the USA from USA materials." And then I emailed them about the receiving blankets that only said "made in usa" and "Made from quality 100% cotton flannel", to see if they just didn't specify, or if those are not American sourced. (Link below)
I also put AmericanBlossom's baby onesie on there, as they're a US cotton farm.
Red Land Cotton is cheaper for bedding so I put their bedding on the list instead.
I also found some random baby clothes from a website called "American Adorn". Some of their items say "made in USA with imported materials", but a few said with "American-milled fabrics". I only saved those.
I think these are it for now.
I did save a couple of baby car seats but I'm pretty sure even if they say "made in USA", they all have imported materials in them too π
I started collecting a list of "Made in USA with USA materials" yesterday, so I can find things for our baby a lot easier.
Too many things are made from imported materials. I don't care if someone put a few stitches in the fabric in the USA, I care where they got the fabric from.
If you've come across anything sourced from American for babies or new parents, please let me know! I'd love some more links. π
So, run all schools on a bitcoin standard where only the actually good ideas a d teachers get to stuck around to teach? Sounds good!
Basically, they all need to read our new book, "How to prepare yourself for marriage", get a good wife and get to reproducing π
If all the men get married in their 20s, this statistic would go way down.
Personally, I think it would depend on if it's written vlog or v-log.
I learned the pronunciation from someone who did daily vlogs for like 8 years from the very beginning. Plus, having heared how blogs were pronounced, I assumed it was just a different first letter. They don't call it b-logs, but blogs, hence vlogs and lot v-logs.
But I've heard it pronounced v-log more recently from other sources, and it makes sense I guess.
They're different in different countries.
In Sweden, it's usually a time to kidnap the bride, dress her up in a funny outfit and have her do embarrassing things in town, like going up to people and asking for marriage advice while wearing a feather boa and something unusual.
It's pretty easy to spot them so the general public can guess what's going on and play along. Then it ends with a dinner or such.
I think in some places they started more as a beauty treatment preparation.
In America today, I think they're generally trying to compete with the ideas of traditional bachelor parties where the group gets drunk etc.
Sometimes I wish I could remove or at least filter comments people leave on my posts, for others.
I just made a post and someone commented where they shared a porn profile. That's disgusting and it shows up even if I've selected to not show sensitive content. That's not something I'd like anyone who sees that post to be exposed to either. I'm glad they can block it, but I wish "sensitive content" could detect and hide all nudity, regardless of how the poster marked it originally.
If you have not read Benefits of Bitcoin yet, now is a good time to do so.
It's not only that the price of bitcoin is going up (while clearly someone sold a bunch). Bitcoin has great incentives, and unlike fiat that keeps printing money to pay for bad ideas, bitcoin incentivizes good ideas!
Like Soapminer, Oshi, Leathermint, and Ben Justman, just to mention a few. They make good products, and that's why people keep buying them for bitcoin, because they're worth more than bitcoin.
If their products were bad, people wouldn't spend their bitcoin on them, and they'd go out of business. Unlike how in fiat land, where the government or banks might bail them out anyways.
The incentives of Bitcoin touches all areas of life, and Benefits of Bitcoin explores and exposes a lot of these areas!
Get your copy today in English, Spanish, or Swedish through DMs for 15000 sats, or for fiat through FikaTimeBooks.com (Swedish kindle and Spanish kindle and audible)

That so sad. I'm very grateful to bitcoin, but too many people are still in fiat land, and for a lot of people, it will be a hard transition.
I just finished translating my husband's book, "Benefits of Bitcoin" to Swedish, as someone else had already translated it into Spanish.
It's not a techie book, but rather focuses on the social transformation that is inevitable, due to fiats bad ideas being paid for by money printing, and bitcoins inherent positive incentives that will take over.
I really hope more people will read it and get onboard the bitcoin train before the fiat one has totally gone off the rails.
Well, like I said, he's growing in the ways he wants to, which does not include physical size. π ππ
Yes, I want my man to be himself, all that he wants to be! It's so fun watching him expand and grow. That's inspiring!
He doesn't follow me or try to do what he think I want him to do, he is himself. ππ₯°
I really want American made AND sourced things for out baby that's coming in about 5 weeks, but I've had such a hard time finding things.
Some say "made in USA", but then they still get the fabric or material from China or some other country, so now I don't trust anything that simply says "made in USA". (Don't trust verify π )
But today I came across this website, and they explicate that most of the items are "made in the USA from USA materials." π₯³π₯³π₯³
So I wanted to share it here with anyone else who's wanting American made things for their babies!!! π€
Sending you to the burp cloths so you can see for yourself. Plus, it's not crazy expensive!!!
All Natural Cotton Burp Cloths | NuAngel β NuAngel, Inc. https://share.google/b1j83kpbCDmCvJ7hO
I love it!!! It's gonna get there with the usd too one day... but hopefully not just because of current fiat printing. π¬
Hm, this would make more sense if there were only 2 buns... lettuce can be a bit difficult on burgers, so to have the lettuce in a burger shape might make it easier, but it needs to go on the same bun as the meat.
But, it also needs to be clean veggies, not that vegan crap that gets added to vegan things, as we all learned about from Saifedean ππ
Benefits of Bitcoin is focused way more on the natural and social consequences of how Bitcoin will impact and change the world for the better. It contrasts fiat incentives with bitcoin incentives, and shows how bitcoin will take over.
It might sound "too good to be true", but those of us here are already living proof of how that works.
My husband nostr:nprofile1qqsfepkhw5m6vwqvudc78fyxp0r7r7e2mwegyxl34rcu6n5vuq3ypjgpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshsvy7dle wrote it, and we sell a pdf version for 15 000 sats through Nostr DMs, or for fiat on Amazon, through FikaTimeBooks.com
(Also available in Spanish.)
Met someone recently who said he got married pretty quickly, then added 6 months.
Yeah, I used to think that was pretty fast, but then this man, nostr:nprofile1qqsfepkhw5m6vwqvudc78fyxp0r7r7e2mwegyxl34rcu6n5vuq3ypjgpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshsvy7dle asked me on a skype coffee date, and we ended up talking about everything we could think of, sharing all our secrets, including dreams and hopes and who we are, and then we ran out of reasons not to get married.
Probably would have been even shorter if I hadn't been in a different country and needed to wait until I was done with work before Christmas.
We didn't even last a full 3 months!
68 days was all we needed between first date and I Do. It was intense, and I think we knew each other better than some people do who date for 2 years before they get married.
For some reason the lie has crept in that love and marriage is supposed to be experienced blindly, while everything else we do in life usually requires some study or training before we can do it really well.
This is part of why we wrote "How to prepare yourself for marriage", because marriage can be amazing, when you know what it is and you have prepared yourself for how to do it well!
I love Nostr and the bitcoin community, because this place appreciates marriage and babies.
"Don't trust, verify" is one of the core leading values that bitcoiners use in all areas of life. This should also include finding and picking a spouse, and I think our book will thoroughly assist in this endeavor.
DM me for a pdf copy for 10 000 sats, or get it through FikaTimeBooks.com for fiat in other formats.

No, but I recently learned that primal doesn't recieve DMs from other clients. Hubby and I tried it and I'd see messages he sent from primal, but he never got my responses from Amethyst. Then I asked, and apparently this is a normal thing π now if someone wants to buy something I need to check which client they're using so I can make sure they're receiving my responses π
Doesn't seem like the primal devs really care, so if the app is slow, I'm not sure they care about that either...
It's been a great week of trading.
All of my positions are closed and I ended the week with the exact same amount of $ that I started with.
Zero.

Bitcoin isn't the only thing that has some scarcity and value!
This sounds like a good trading circle π

I'm so happy I didn't grow up with controlling parents.
The only rule I can remember having as a kid was that my mom didn't want me crossing the big through street alone when I was like, under 5. But if my older neighbors were with me, I was allowed.
My mom always shared "Why" rather than, "because I said so". The only time she ran out of answers was when I was that age in toddler/child development where I just kept asking why way past the answer.
She taught me to think for myself. To make my own decisions. To think about the consequences, because she would point them out when she noticed them around us. Like how bridges, roundabouts, and intersections are always going to be iceier than other parts if the road. Because bridges have cool air going underneath, and at intersections and roundabouts people use their breaks and turn, causing friction to make the road slicker.
By simply sharing how she saw things, I learned at a young age that the idea of getting drunk seemed highly unpleasant. Why would I force myself to drink something that didn't even taste good, just so I can wake up the next day feeling like shit? Not to mention the possibility of opening myself up to demonic influences, as I am not in my right mind while drunk. No thanks, not for me π
I wasn't isolated or restricted, I was given freedom to learn and try new things, while having been introduced to Father God, Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was my best friend, and I wanted to get closer to Him, and act more like my Father.
My mom (and dad) sent me, alone, to join a missions trip to Mongolia when I was 17! Sure, I joined a team, but I started the trip alone, then joined 2 people the 2nd day, spend 5 days with them on a train through Russia before joining the rest of the team.
My mom concluded that, "if I don't hear anything, I'm gonna assume everything is fine". I was gone for over a month! With only minimal contact with my parents.
I learned to make my own decisions and follow my own dreams. Because I had the opportunity to sit in an admin building for 9 months during some of my ministry schooling, I discovered how I'd actually LOVE to have a cubical job, where I got to do admin and paperwork and such.
I later became a hotel receptionist because I'd also gotten the opportunity to try being the checkin person for a conference we hosted, and I loved that as well.
Because I knew what I liked, I was able to communicate that with my bosses, and though I was supposed to be a receptionist, I ended up getting little tasks that suited me from other departments! (I didn't work at normal hotels π)
I have lived my adult life in the world, but not of the world.
Because I was taught how to think and reason at a young age, I've been able to avoid a lot of pitfalls other fall into as they grow up.
My parents never had to deal with rebellious teenagers, because we had nothing to rebel against.
Instead of being told what we had to or should do, or not do, we were encouraged and believed in. We were treated like capable humans even as kids. Obviously, we were under the care of our parents, but if anything, we were supervised, not controlled. We were believed in.
I'm so grateful to have found an amazing husband I can partner with in life. Someone who understands that there is nuance and that the best thing we can do for our children is to believe in them and encourage them. We'll assist them as needed, and train them, share "why", and allow them to make their own decisions. If they wanna try something, we won't stand in their way.
We'll have boundaries, but they'll likely be more relational than dictatorial, and where we share why we set that boundary, instead of just claiming that we are the parents, the gods, and they're just to fall in line.
Eh, even the thought of that kind of controlling behavior irks me!!!! π
Once I got married, I wasn't allowed to work for 2.5 years due to immigration. However, I because a published author during that time, and I have no plans to stop. I get to partner with my husband in our joint dream of being authors. It's truly a gift and a blessing! π₯°
And soon we get to embark on the journey of raising our son, together! π€π₯³
Yay, all 4 version of our latest book, "How to Prepare Yourself for Marraige is now available for sale on Amazon!
We also sell the PDF for 10 000 sats here on Nostr.
