Last night I was on a call with my husband while he was getting gas about 15 min away from our place. He'd driven a ways before we ended the call, so a while later I started looking out the window to headlights.
Then I saw some headlights, but they didn't turn around like my husband usually does, and I heard a male voice in the distance. I caught that something was weird, but thought maybe it was my husband calling for my attention to come help him with something that had loved after the super windy day we'd had.
I brought our son, thinking we were "going to see daddy", but I'm super glad I didn't turn on the lights in the front of our motorhome, because it wasn't daddy!
It was some random dude and his lady trying to get out of the maze that is our neighborhood due to all the randomly washed out roads or totally overgrown ones.
Staying inside, using the kitchen and my son to cover myself up, and my arms to shield my son, I gave the couple directions for how to get back out.
I'm kinda glad that happened last night, as the thought of death and getting shot wasn't on my mind like it is today after what happened to Charlie Kirk.
Turned out they went down to where I told them to make the first turn, which they did, but then they stopped halfway down that road where my husband drove past them, giving them the same directions I had. I hope they made it out.
I was sitting with my newborn son when I heard the confirmation that Charlie Kirk was dead. It's still hard to comprehend.
I read how he was a father of two young children who have now been left fatherless.
Then a new thought occured to me.
What if, in 30 years, my son is doing something world changing like Charlie Kirk was, and someone shoots him?!
My precious, amazing, already fantastic, funny, adorable, and strongwilled son.
Lord Jesus, bless his kids and wife, but also his parents! Comfort them like only You can, Holy Spirit!
All my posts are baby related, well, except that video posted the other day where I found a snake in our water tank compartment, that was still there hiding this morning. 🙄
He's even got the old men gawking and gushing 😎
You know as much as I... the head was about the same size as the body, if that tells you anything. I know nothing about snakes other than I don't think it rattled, so I don't think it's a rattle snake 😬
I used to work at a very intense reception where I would usually have about 7 different tasks goin at the same time, barely finishing one before getting the next one.
I'm used to my mind being really sharp and having access to most things I've heard recently and a lot of long term stuff too.
However, since our son was born, and everything my body went through during that time of emergency, I'm realizing that is not currently the case.
It's like I can barely keep up with the one task or conversation I am having at a time.
The nurses would share some information and I could tell I'd need to use that information at the end of the conversation, and I needed to braise myself to make sure I was going to actually be able to use the new information just shared seconds earlier.
Is this part of that "normal" mom's brain changes after giving birth, or is this extra due to having had eclampsia on top of the normal hormonal changes? 🤔
I'm glad I can tell my normal is still under there, so I can actually access it if I really concentrate, but I'm also going to give myself permission to limit myself to one task at a time, instead of my normal 7-10 in I've had going on in the background usually 😅
Being able to look over at my baby is totally worth it.
Not needing to go through this alone, but having an absolutely amazing husband to share it with makes it even more enjoyable!
If you don't know nostr:npub1njrdwafh5cuqecm3uwjgvz78u8aj4kajsgdlr283e48gecpzgrysmg2mct know that he is worth knowing, and his books are totally worth reading! 😎
Thank you everyone who has zapped me this month! I only just got my phone back after getting released from the hospital and coming home to find it hidden under my pillow. No wonder my husband hadn't found it the one time he left my/our side.
I think I got about 11 zaps of different amounts. Thank you everyone!
We have a son! 🥳🥳🥳🥳
And though I'm still in recovery from surgery and waiting for my body to learn how to have a low heartrate so I don't need to take pills, we're all doing pretty well, considering.
The doctor thinks I have a high pain tolerance because I didn't want his opioid grade painkillers most moms use the first few days. I think it's more because I have the best husband ever, and don't push myself past my limits, due to a low pain threshold, thus avoiding more pain in general 😎
I'm still a bit lacking in sleep, and haven't really processed everything, so not posts might be a bit strange for a bit. 😅
I did miss Nostr though, and I'm glad to be back!
We got to go home today! 🥳
Our son has now seen his home for the first time.
We needed to start by cleaning cause windows had been left open. My amazing husband crawled on the floor, as I can't really do that yet, after having gone through surgery just a few days ago!!
Not only do we now have a schedule for feeding our son, but I have a schedule for taking pills.
Yep, I've become a pill popper. Hopefully it will clear up quickly and I won't be needing heartrate medication for long, but until then, I'll be popping pills.
Hopefully also some orange ones for other people 😏
I've been wining so much lately, but I think it might be spelled more like whining... Our first son has been born! 👶🎉
September 2nd,
6lbs, 6 oz (2903g)
19.314in (49.06cm)
at 12:43pm
We're all still recovering, but doing okay!
We are now a unit of 3! and it's all thanks to God and my amazing husband and our sons's father, nostr:npub1njrdwafh5cuqecm3uwjgvz78u8aj4kajsgdlr283e48gecpzgrysmg2mct
Someone recently mentioned how mom's change after becoming mom's, and I wasn't sure that would happen to me.
However, I didn't just give birth. I got something called ecclamcia, which means I had a seizur, and the day our son was born, I was in and out of consciousness.
Maybe some of what I'm currently experiencing has to do with becoming a mom, but honestly, I think most of it has to do with, first 4 days of never getting more than 1-2 hours of sleep in a row due to a full bladder that I thought was just a normal late pregnancy symptom, followed by the seizure that my amazing husband got first hand experience with. He waited like 40 minutes for someone to come but they hadn't made it yet so he took me himself.
I only remember flashes of being in the car with him in paved roads, which means I was fully out of it for at least halfway to town too!
I kept going in an out. I remember bein inside the hospital with a bunch of doctors and nurses around us. First one doctor said something about inducing labor, which I was on board with but wondered how I'd do since my left leg already seemed hard to move. Then they checked how dialated I was, which I unfortunately was there for, as it was the most excruciating pain I'd ever exerienced! I was 2 cm dialated. Then they went in there again that I again remember , but I'm not sure I knew why at the time. Apparently they broke my water at one point, might have been then.
However, awhile later they said the baby's heartrate wasn't good and needed to come out quick. Next thing I knew I was coming out of surgery, no longer pregnany. And when I say, next thing I knew, I mean I literally only have those few memories of what happened before that I already mentioned, the rest are gone.
I do remember at some point telling them that I didn't want any eyegoo and then my husband stepped in and added clarity as well as got them to not give him Hepatitis B, cause just no!
I have the best husband ever! nostr:npub1njrdwafh5cuqecm3uwjgvz78u8aj4kajsgdlr283e48gecpzgrysmg2mct
So, I was in the hospital getting a bunch of treatments and checkes until this morning, so for 3 days, until they finally decided on some heartrate medication for me to go on, before discharging me.
However, since our son lost too much weight during that time, they are still keeping him, so we get to stay too, so the only thing that really changed was that I'm no longer hooked up to anything.
I'm still not myself, but I'm pretty sure that has a lot to do with lack of sleep, everything my body has gone through in the last few days, and not just my bodys hormones changing since it's no longer pregnant.
The Doctor wanted to prescribe me "Hydocodin tylanol" for the pain, but I haven't been moving around a lot, though I started taking walks today cause they don't know why my heartrate keeps jumping around. But I mostly experience burning stining excruciating pain if I walk too long, but after sitting for a minute it goes away, so I'm not sure why I'd need such strong medication, so I didn't even fill it!
The Doctor talked about me having a high pain threshhold, but that's not true. It's really low, I'm just maybe more conciencous than most and if the pain goes away within seconds of stopping a painful activity, why would I take a pill for it, when I could just stop doing the thing?
Anyways, we're not sure where my phone is but at least I have my laptop now. I was missing Nostr!
I'm back, loopier, and with the responsibility for a human life. An adorable, tiny, healthy, human life!
Exactly. Redefining words to mean something other than what they actually mean is one of their core actions.
I just read through the original thread where this came from, and wow, some people really don't know what "Woke" means and seem to think it's a good thing. As if it stands for understanding reality?! Wow!
The woke are the people who have been trained in "because I said so" and never question the narrative someone they look up to is telling them. Their reactions to being told actual reality is to scream until the other person backs off.
That lady's understand of woke is not at all what it is!
I've come across her before and noticed something was off so I didn't follow her. Makes more sense now.
She's conflating what she thinks she believes as a good thing and calls it woke?! Jikes!!!! 😬
It's a bit like saying "I'm a Christian" and then denying Jesus being God or His resurrection.
I think she actually is Swiss, who are a more intellectual country, so now I'm wondering if in their country they have all been taught my their news that woke has a different meaning than it does here in the US, or if it's just her 🤔😬
Very interesting.
My personality already lends me to be super adaptive and a quick learner, so that will be interesting to see how it affects me. 🤔
I have about 2 weeks left, but probably closer to 3 due to it being my first, and a few days ago it seemed everything started attacking me!
The urgent pee need like every hour once I go go sleep, but I can go multiple hours if I'm awake was probably the start and is super annoying!
A tweak in my back that caused deep breaths or hiccup type things to shoot intense pain through my body, that finally reduced after I remembered I could ask my husband to press on it 😅random hits of nausea releasing after I burp or pee 🤔
Not to mention hitting my foot on the sharp corner of a drawer, or stepping on a cactus needle that got stuck in my foot.
I've been pretty good at keeping my noises to myself until all of this started happening. Hubby pointed out he wasn't used to hearing all of these noises from me, so I explained it, and then added, "I'm pretty sure my belly is just too full so there's no more space for the noises on my inside" 😅🤣🤣🤣
But other than basically being tormented and letting all the noises out, I still feel and act like myself.
I did have heightened emotions during the 2nd trimester, but even that was extremely mild compared to what I've seen from some other women!
I think a different side might be more prevalent once I give birth to our son, but I'm a pretty integrated and self aware, secure person, so I'm not sure I'll change too much.
I did have a moment at a church we've been visiting lately where someone showed me the nursery and my internal reflection afterwards as she had said something about more babies going to be there was something like, "I'm not gonna give you my baby!"
Their messages are not more important than my son. I shared it with my husband and he commented that he kinda liked my mama bear that was coming out 😇 I sounded like a woman.
But yeah, not long until I find out if there are any more changes that I'm not expecting that still happens 🤗
This is long, I'm kinda processing what I'm going through 😅
Jordan Peterson* 😳😬😅🤣🤣🤣
I was having some probably pregnancy ailments when I wrote it, so I thought I double checked it accurately, but NOPE! haha
I'm not so sure. What the government has been pushing on people has caused so much poverty in the name of helping the poor.
We live on dirt, so our roads get flushed out at time, or just drive on and needs some fixing.
There are random people who live here who use their equipment to fix the parts they use, not even going around collecting money from the rest of us to help.
Churches with ministries are feeding and helping those who are stuck in addiction and living on the streets, and they wouldn't stop just because bitcoin takes over.
However, bitcoin incentives lower energy costs, more affordable housing (cause those who currently invest in houses will invest in bitcoin) and thus more people will be able to afford what they want and need to survive, and especially if bitcoin also gets to the healthcare system, people won't end up on the streets because they got sick or injured and needed to visit a hospital where the administration collects $10k for someone to get seen for 5 seconds and get an aspirin. Way more if anything else is going on, leading to more marginalized and hopeless people.
So, I think that if the world goes on a bitcoin standard there will be less marginalized people to begin with, and they'll actually be receiving assistance from people who care, rather than from the money printer who pretends to care yet only makes things worse for those people. (And everyone really) 😊
Can you tell I like bitcoin? 😅
That is an amazing meme!!!! 🤣 I love it!!!
Just had a sip of apple juice and got a flash back to when I would travel back and forth to the US some years ago. I'd always get a cup of water AND a cup of apple juice.
Then that company stopped flying to America, I got married and we used a different one, one that had been around for ages and was the same company I used for my very first visit with my parents when I was 10.
They only gave out one cup of liquid!
The difference between when I was 10 and 31 was extreme! We got blankets, pillows, face masks, earbuds, and I'm pretty sure multiple drinks when I was 10.
This time they barely let us know they even had earbuds, tried to dehydrate us, oh, well, and they had those mask mandates the first flight we took with them. I'm glad those were done by the time we flew back to the US.
Anyways, those were the things that plopped into my mind at a sip of apple juice 🤣
"Render Unto Caesar": Did Jesus Endorse Paying Taxes?
https://fountain.fm/clip/NZDvspUG3b2QrBOpiTW2
#Jesus #Christian #voluntarism #GovtIsTheProblem
Basically, Jesus said, give the fiat back to the one who prints it.
So, since bitcoin isn't from the US or any other government, I'm not sure he'd say to pay taxes on bitcoin... 🤔
Bless you! Sounds really tough!
I've only worked 12hx2 with shorter days outside of that, and I was beat at the end of it, and I lived across the street! So, having a hour commute outside of that sounds really hard.
I'd need at least a day or two to recover from that kind of work!
My husband communicates more than me, so I doubt I'd come across that issue. Pressure makes women's brains go slower, so if there's a lot going on or there's tension, I'd probably be the one more likely to lose my words.
However, we have Jesus, and have been learning a lot of tools for how to share all our secrets, what things contribute to us, and making deals, so I look forward to this new season. 😇
Well, my husband and I are both authors, so we make our own schedule, so at least he can have 100% of both of our time present, even though we'll be prioritizing each other first, cause that's the best way to love him.
Also, I'm not sure I'll find baby crying rude. 🤔 Now, if he started calling me names because I'm not up yet when he wants food, well, that'd be a different story 🤣
I'll find out in a month 🤗
And without the grandparents, as we live in a different state.
I used to say "I can't" a lot when talking to a mentor once, and she called me on it and said I wasn't allowed to say it, so I retrained myself and now, if I say "I can't" it's followed by me figuring out a way that actually does work, if the first way didn't.
Like, if someone asks me to reach something, and I try from where I am, and I go, I can't, then I move and grab something that allows me to reach it, and turn it into a can 😎
But yes, if it's "I can't eat that," that would certainly be more of a choice than a physical inability to do the thing.
The words we use make a difference in how we experience life.
If I have a habit of saying "I have to", I might be aware that I'm making a choice, but I'm telling my emotions that I don't have a choice.
But I always have a choice, I just might not like any of the consequences of making a different choice.
For example, "I choose to go to work", because I like being able to buy the things I want when I want, and not going to work can get me fired, and looking for a job is hard, so I'd rather keep my current job, even if it's not my favorite."
Shifting our word choices can help us feel much better about the choices we are making as well. It can remove the burden of "having to go to work" and replace it with a more positive, "I get to go to work" attitude.
My husband has been practicing "secret minimization" for years, because, "you're only as sick as your secrets".
So, when we met, he was honest with me about the things a lot of other people might feel ashamed to scared to share with a date.
However, because he was honest, he allowed trust to grow really quickly. I knew exactly what I was getting into!
He shared the things that some women would run from.
Because he was honest about his history, his personality, and his dreams, I was able to choose him on purpose!
His actions led me to dare to be way more brave, and share myself as well.
Secret minimization is one of the keys to a healthy, connected, and loving marriage. We still practice this every day!
This is why I added it to our new book, "How to prepare yourself for marriage".
If you'd like to read more about this and all the other things we did to prepare ourselves to be ready for marriage, please check it out! 😃

Is that because it gets eaten the fastest, or because it goes bad the fastest?
After the rain stopped last night, we went outside because the flood that moved our boards was completely gone in minutes!
However, the wash that goes across our road was very active still. It was like a little creek and then the water increased even more!
It must have been that the rain moved way faster than the flooding water, and that collected over time and then like 10 min after the rain was gone, it reached out land!
It was very interesting watching it destroy our road in person for once 😅
Dating for marriage is a sorting game, and it's a good idea to "leave her better than you found her". So, one sorted out, plus she's left more informed than found, so yay! 🥳🤣

Which one matches?
Bitcoin vs. XRP
Thinkers vs. "Because I said so"
(Thinkers refers to those who think for themselves when making decisions.
"Because I said so", refers to those who go along without necessarily knowing why.)
I grew up in a "this is why" household. I didn't just survive, I thrived!
"Because I said so" is a cop out, and a decision to keep your kids in the dark, leading them to stop asking questions and needing to stumble through life and try to figure everything out themselves.
We will be training our kids in "why", so they grow up with consequential thinking, daring to ask questions, and understanding how and why things work like they do, without being stuck in guess work.
They will be trained in intelligence, "The ability to make finer distinctions".
(Saw this pic on fb. There's a reason they're there and not here...)😅

If you have not read Benefits of Bitcoin yet, now is a good time to do so.
It's not only that the price of bitcoin is going up (while clearly someone sold a bunch). Bitcoin has great incentives, and unlike fiat that keeps printing money to pay for bad ideas, bitcoin incentivizes good ideas!
Like Soapminer, Oshi, Leathermint, and Ben Justman, just to mention a few. They make good products, and that's why people keep buying them for bitcoin, because they're worth more than bitcoin.
If their products were bad, people wouldn't spend their bitcoin on them, and they'd go out of business. Unlike how in fiat land, where the government or banks might bail them out anyways.
The incentives of Bitcoin touches all areas of life, and Benefits of Bitcoin explores and exposes a lot of these areas!

I really want American made AND sourced things for out baby that's coming in about 5 weeks, but I've had such a hard time finding things.
Some say "made in USA", but then they still get the fabric or material from China or some other country, so now I don't trust anything that simply says "made in USA". (Don't trust verify 😅)
But today I came across this website, and they explicate that most of the items are "made in the USA from USA materials." 🥳🥳🥳
So I wanted to share it here with anyone else who's wanting American made things for their babies!!! 🤗

Hm, this would make more sense if there were only 2 buns... lettuce can be a bit difficult on burgers, so to have the lettuce in a burger shape might make it easier, but it needs to go on the same bun as the meat.
But, it also needs to be clean veggies, not that vegan crap that gets added to vegan things, as we all learned about from Saifedean 😇😎
