I wonder if that is how people get so much spam. I've been going heavy for about two weeks and haven't seen much spam at all. Seems like anytime I note to a hashtag, I get zapped 1 sat or followed by some spammy looking account. 🤷

Another good thing about getting an open phone is that there are projects that keep them up to date security wise after the manufacturer stops. They either force you to buy a new phone, or walk around with a bunch of vulnerabilities.

I have a oneplus 7t from 2019/early 2020, can't remember, that is still working perfectly fine for me.... i don't play games or stuff. It also has an open bootloader on it so you can do like derek said and later on when and if you want, you can install an operating system of you choice. There are plenty of degooglfied options out there.
