Fomo 🔥

Yep you're right, and like all things that become mainstream (like your fav band 😭) you get the good with the bad. You get to say "I was here first haha". But then you gotta make sure to spot the wolves in bitcoin clothing.

I think it's funny that people are making a big deal that politicians want your money.

Of course they want your money,

They don't care what type of money it is.

The difference with bitcoin is that it's a money you don't HAVE to give to them, they control every other type, so why the fuck would you hand it over willingly.

Some thoughts and discussion I had about taproot assets today.

While a romantic dream that Bitcoin the network would only ever be used for bitcoin the money, it's not very practical.

Bitcoin the network allows for many types of data to be saved in the blockchain if you're willing to pay the fee. That can be bitcoin the money transaction, an NFT, fiat dollars, tether, ID's, etc.

While at first glance I dislike this, I welcome the challenge. These purveyors of data will soon find out how expensive block space is as a finite resource, just like the ordinal minters found out.

This is truly an open competition, will the demand for inflating dollars and other fiat outweigh the demand for zero inflation money? Or will NFT pics of monkeys take the win?

It's an interesting thought experiment also to ask "why would someone want to transact a centralized currency over a decentralized network if it's inherently more complex than the centralized network that already exists?"

I think these stable-coin issuers are going to be in for a surprise when they find out the cost of using bitcoin the network, especially when it's priced in sats!!

May the best data win.

Goodnight 🫂

Before I sleep though, I really have to share something important with you all. nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 has been sacrificing innocent raspberries over a fire to join a blueberry cult. He said he enjoyed watching them burn too.

There is no red or blue, there are berries and there is you.

Yeah I feel that, I live in a different state than my kids and it's rough.

Guess that means people are desperate for privacy 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was discussing the market and economic theory with a business owner and manufacturer today.

I tried to describe that economies basically have three groups; poor, working class, and the bureaucrats/elites.

Capitalism is allowing the working class to earn all the rewards and give to the bureaucrats and poor as they will.

Welfare/socialism is bureaucrats taxing the working class and give to the other two groups(often keeping the reward and only eluding to giving to the poor as a justification)

It's very hard when you have a money controlled by bureaucrats to stop them from paying themselves from the working class.

Bitcoin allows capitalism to exist where it struggles to exist due to entrenched elites and controlled money.

While this doesn't solve all the problems of distribution in the working class or how to help the poor, it fixes many many problems by restoring the honest relationship between work and reward.
