Relays are a failure point in nostr because they are effectively global and only really work as intended in a delivery by default manner. I.E. since they must accept all inputs they will succumb to spam.

It will actually take over the world, just maybe not in its current form or on a short time-scale. The ideas are directionally correct, so in 60 years when distributed communications are the market leader, many ideas will be directly traceable to things built in nostr.
