I think the same as amber you receive a notification for the permissions you didn't setup the remember me option and when you check the remember me option it will work in the background

Look at the bottom of the page

Yes, iOS doesn't have an API to query other app data in background like on android so it would always open the signer and lead to a bad experience

The Amber signing app by nostr:npub1w4uswmv6lu9yel005l3qgheysmr7tk9uvwluddznju3nuxalevvs2d0jr5 is incredible. It’s seamless, doesn’t get in the way, and keeps your keys secure.

Why is there no iOS equivalent? Is there a reason that it can’t be developed on that platform?

For iOS the only thing that would work is using as a bunker

That table is also outdated because people forget about it.

There's also the nips that are not yet approved in the repo but people are using

So for checking kinds and nips you have to search in multiple places

I think there isn't, I also need this

Just to complete what brugeman said here.

When connecting with nip 46 there's a chance someone can pretend its the application you are trying to connect, but for this attack the attacker needs to know your relays and guess when you are connecting to an application

To mitigate this there's a use secret option, in amber it's off by default because at the time most applications didn't supported this

For native applications using nip 55 I use the package Id of the app so if someone wants to pretend it's an application like amethyst they can't, the only way to do this is making you uninstall amethyst and install the fake app.

I'm also not a security expert so it would be better if we had an audit

Hi nostr:nprofile1qqs827g8dkd07zjvlhh60csytujgd3l9mz7x807xk3fewge7rwlukxgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7qgswaehxw309ahx7um5wghx6mmd9usjfpck

I run citrine behind tor (orbot). Can I somehow leak some data to clearnet by exporting the database before updating to the newest version. I thought I read something a while ago but not sure. Or maybe it was amber🤔

No, it's just a file that is saved locally. You can erase it after you import if you don't want it stored in your phone

Don't know why. I think it's a issue with openkeychain

Try going to the media server screen and setting up some server or pressing the use default button

It's hard to change things around here. Most nostr devs has the Bitcoin syndrome and think the word protocol means you should never change anything.

Maybe when nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyfehcpn says something we can get clients to change the insane data usage they use, start moving out of kind 1 replies and fix the lists.

The only constant in software is change and if there's a better way to do something you should do it.

If you setup the relays a while ago there was a bug in amber and it was not receiving all events when sending multiple events.

Sometimes I also forget to hit the save button maybe you did it too
