Afraid to ask about the pro-level pack.
Does it start with creating your own universe? β
There are a very minor amount of open source services that you can run yourself on a server in your basement. I'm sure they do nothing like Apple will do for you with fancy dashboards and stats but they can collect the data you create.
Here' a bunch of them (pardon the reddit link): https://old.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/14wxful/open_source_fitness_tracker_w_self_hosted_fitness/juswr05/
I would definitely rate this under the category "privacy nightmare" even though they might be super awesome. I'd still have to trust Apple to keep their word and not just that, i additionally habe to trust in their security never being compromised.
We going with Brazilian sirloins today in honor of nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qfsa66

Modelo immediately makes me think of UFC. Damn you advertisers!
Have a zap for more stickers!
I would consider myself lucky.
Even before i started having grey hairs it was already receding from the front. I think it was early twenties.
Decided to start trimming it short but when i became a dad early thirties and i saw many a picture where i was holding the baby while looking at her revealing my scalp i decided it was time for the razor.
I did it and i was shocked at the improvement. Felt absolutely liberating!
Fuck hair! Embrace shaving!
Some kind of purple colored fruit juice and orange juice? π€
I, for one, would welcome my fellow bald brethren.
Yes and yes!
Unfortunately not all open source apps can be obtain(ium)ed. Some developers choose to not use github or not have it build releases.
Second best option is to use f-droid.
Amethyst showed me a "join" button. Clicked it and its gone now. Not completely sure what i joined now.. π€
A hilariously terrible #foodstr pic from Riga π nostr:nprofile1qqsfhsknfhw6s0v59g0a6d48fple4tk8grdjf6newvkepcur6xwjjjqpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7fh6klt

Red meat, red everything!
I used to build pc's for (mostly) family and did Perl with MySQL and cgi for webapps..
Great times!
I alway do group exercises and the instructor usually plays hip hop. However my brain is excellent at filtering so i don't consciously hear it.
I do hear my brain going "The fuck you doing man? You really gotta do this? You could also be at home chilling! This is too heavy! We gotta do a few less reps."
The struggles :(
Ah yes, i maybe should have been clear about that i am self-employed/freelancing so i only do contract work. But technically i could approach companies myself still but that would be quite an investment.
What i usually do, before i respond to any linkedin requests, is to approach previous clients, or companies that directly contacted me, but since most projects i work on usually take a year or longer, the timing is usually not at the right moment. Meaning they no longer need me or just not at this moment.
I've been doing contract work now for almost 15 years and did about 10 projects during that time. I think i'm now in the spot where only 50% of my work comes in through linkedin and the rest is direct contacts, so progress is being made.
It's still amazing though how well that platform spearheaded me into this direction and i'm super happy with the outcome.
Awesome. I've been meaning to get into the pourover game as well, so now i'm gonna go to the coffeeshop and score myself a Hario v60 starter pack.
I think i had a facebook account around 2012-2015. I was pressured into it by friends but never really did much with it so i deleted it 4-5 years ago because apparently i still had people trying to contact me through facebook.
Never used nor visited twitter (except when a tweet was linked by others).
Then there's linkedin. As much as i hate it, professionally it is the place from which 80% of my work comes. Companies seem to find me on it much easier than anywhere else. Any tips on how to do this different are welcome.
I applaud more engagement on nostr but when shit starts hitting the fan on the big platforms people will start looking for alternatives.
There is some fragmentation as people may not understand some of the (technical and political) advantages of using nostr yet, but with more time nostr can mature and reach more people as well.
Regardless, there's no need to choose at the moment and it's fine to use multiple platforms and give some more attention than others if you have more engagement there.
