El problema es que si elevamos la miradas de la coyuntura, independientemente si las altas tarifas son causadas por ordinals o por una alta adopción de Bitcoin, el problema es el mismo. Una capacidad de ~600k transacciones por día no escala, la necesidad de migrar para L2 va a ser cada vez más fuerte, y L1 va a quedar, lamentablemente para las ballenas y como medio de settlement entre bancos Bitcoin.

Tough having to agree that despite initial promises most future #bitcoin users will prefer a bitcoin-based banking system instead of #self-custody. Less risks, lower fees. Hope those layered services will be provided by new institutions (like nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq or the like) in opposition to legacy ones banks.

Here’s when the “be your own bank” narrative sounds great but it’s becoming increasingly deceitful. Accepting that Bitcoin base layer will be for big players only it’s a more honest narrative which will help get more people thinking and bettering scaling solutions.

Indeed Nostr is bitcoiners happy island for now. Features and diversity of voices will tell if it ever catches some serious network effect. Right know if you do not care much about self-sovereignty nor bitcoin it is not such an attractive place to scroll. Ergo, we need to increase people’s interest in Bitcoin and self-sovereignty so more voices join🤘Happy nostring!
Agreed! Things start somewhere but if that somewhere is too niche and rabid we risk for it to stagnate as just an interesting happy island for we niche and rabid people.
