Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she's safe. To anyone I've ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

Steal an Asus laptop

This is the closest I can come to a purchase recommendation as an anarcho-communist

I have donated to 0xchat for a badge on the account I use on there. I did it on a separate account instead of this one on purpose, but since you wish you had more of this info and you're cool, there's my nugget

Well, I kept using nip05.social for incoming emails even though I couldn't sent outgoing emails. Today, I needed to pay for premium subscription again to get a login email for one of those services that use email authentication, and I can't get the payment to go through, and I notice chris@nip05.social hasn't posted in quite a while, and some outlinks on his pages don't work anymore.

This is sad. I wonder what happened. I'm sure the deep state didn't want him running an email service that would benefit people like me. I hope he's alright.

I'm such a targeted individual I worry about everyone who does anything helpful to me at all. Especially Digit, in other news. Does anyone know if she's safe?

I recommend Monerujo for Android or the official Monero GUI wallet for other systems

In the future I'll recommend Garnet for Android which automatically attaches a wallet to your nostr profile the first time you load it up, but it can't be installed alongside Amethyst yet and at v0.2.0 I only feel comfortable recommending the stagenet (play coins for testing) version

Say that again with a Monero address and see what happens 😤

Just not understanding - you seem frustrated, and it seems like you wish I would pay for relays. Correct me if I'm wrong (if it matters).

If you're simply annoyed I keep starting arguments about capitalism with you, I apologize, you know us commies.

I am 25% retarded so it's possible address reuse isn't even a problem with Monero and that's the point of stealth addresses. What's a stealth address? Maybe today is the day I get down to 24%

The fact that tipping can be broadcast to nodes still triggers my Spidey sense tho - I have definitely read from people smarter than me that the more Monero transactions are de-anonymized, the harder it gets to protect the rest and part of the challenge for monero devs is balancing that

If you're frustrated because you want relay subscriptions to grow into a way to monetize your git project:

I can see you making a lot of well-deserved money by ending up with an ecosystem where free storage is unlimited, but too slow for serious projects, with paid relays having more bandwidth and/or lower proof of work requirements for big data transfers.

I thought you might bring up how BitTorrent ended up being made into a coin, that's why I also mentioned limewire/FrostWire

And if you'll point out how nobody uses those or anything like them anymore, that's because there's soulseek which is centralized but has run with no ads and very little censorship for years and sucked up all the oxygen in the piracy software sphere - again, without throwing money around or having users who aren't "cheap"

If nobody on the network ever leaves any evidence of any transaction being linked to them, transaction fees only need to fund enough processing to avoid double-spending, and the network requires zero extra complexity to avoid de-anonymizing anyone.

Monero as a protocol exists because this is impossible, so we need a way to stop de-anonymized transactions from de-anonymizing other related transactions in a chain.

If half the transactions on the network have a database saying who they were sent from and to, this gets very very hard.

Then take reddit as another example. No other company wanted to give a dev like Aaron Swartz access to the same kind of resources again. Digg died to reddit when it was bigger in the beginning, so if an external carrot and stick was the deciding factor instead of underlying value, Digg would still be the big thing and reddit would be kept down by the big carrot and stick afforded to Digg by constant profit. But that's not how that conflict played out, the side with underlying value won (and it was centralized and unstable and now we must try to send it the way of Digg)

I'm daily driving it too but be aware it's a prototype and the mainnet version is not ready for use. It promotes address reuse. The inclusion of a public tipping option is also bad for the Monero network itself.

My relays don't need help attracting administrators and developers, they just need to be made.

Bitcoin didn't need help attracting administrators and developers, it just needed to be made.

If your ecosystem relies on a separate carrot and stick instead of simply attracting administrators and developers, that's not value.

On my first install (Stagenet) it missed transactions too. After reinstalling, and this time configuring a node before doing any transactions, it worked.

Amethyst uses Lightning and is a pretty complex project. Take the Lightning use and the complexity and what do you get? A high likelihood of deep state funding, which means low likelihood of rapid Monero adoption.

I give charity when I see sufficient need

I reward effort when I see sufficient effort

I sacrifice for return when I see sufficient desirability

Paid relays are insufficient need disguised as insufficient effort disguised as insufficient desirability
