The biggest problem with the tagging system on #pubky right now is probably that it uses some weird limited character set instead of Unicode.
This is fun in some ways, but I've just noticed how it will totally fuck up compatibility with a more functional tagging system. All the work of tagging posts there will need to be done again. I didn't really think about that until now.

Sounds like an idea for cowardz
nostr:npub1yye4qu6qrgcsejghnl36wl5kvecsel0kxr0ass8ewtqc8gjykxkssdhmd0 should backup her nudes in a public post
I think so, but hard to do from scratch for the first time
For a coffee shop, I would do a regular website with a link to nostr 🤙
"Nuking your Twitter" whatever that means doesn't make you nostr only
Are these people calling themselves nostr only while still having Facebook or Instagram or whatever?
Completely fucking retarded
Primal still doesn't even have webm support and they think they're going to make a better video platform than YouTube 🤔
Kinda useless when 9 states don't even count all the votes of registered candidates according to their "state laws"
This npub's suggestion is probably better than mine nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzpt7u2llmxjw78vzyc5rfpt0meggy73lpfkhwmadycpfmjh25htanqyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnddakj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucnpdejz7qpqvqzns3fsd0vtywj5xyclutrxemlmym80c0j9xlj28w0cr3e9vnvskl8zdw
I won't rip it off but I'll add it to my txt file on how to improve nostr and credit your npub
I'm old enough to remember when the whole Bitcoin community agreed on one thing even the glowies dared not challenge: 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin
I'm sorry, you don't have to join me in being upset about it. As long as the block gets mined everything is probably fine
The sun god sends energy
suggestion: plants in boxes/pots near a window?
i know a few people that works well for
but also, same
I might take your suggestion
No
The US isn't even a democracy itself
Pretty sure those are both blatant honeypots with no port forwarding
**I recommend:** nostr:nprofile1qqsdru78zcu6uwa6zlludjx7k87m8ft9q6e5jgsn6qe49rxzj9frwpqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qdgkgx7
Private payments, private registration, good service and accept Bitcoin for approximately a decade.
**I do not recommend:** those VPN that do not allow you to be anonymous and private when hiring their services.
Idk why you'd trust a VPN's privacy, but picking one without port forwarding is insane, it's blatantly a honeypot
The amount of location data leakage you get with nostr right now is a top reason why we need a JavaScript-free nostr onion service
No, there's no real data verification system on nostr so I only know what each user reports to me, which can change kinda quick
Please teach me these faraway words when needed 🫡
I'm considered manipulative because of my selfish emotions and stuff, but I hate using deception or being seen as manipulative so it doesn't end up being useful in my opinion
Yeah, and because nostr has no real p2p functionality
I don't quite know what you mean by long form video. This 20 minute long Tiny Glowing Screens remix I posted usually loads well for me https://m.primal.net/OyRL.webm
If you’re building a sovereign creative workflow, YouTube isn’t just a risk. It’s a trap.
If you must use YouTube (for reach), host the full video off platform and link back to your own domain.
YouTube is where people discover you.
Your domain is where people experience your content without surveillance.
Post a Short Teaser or Excerpt on YouTube
- Upload a 1–2 minute trailer or highlight clip
- Title it clearly: “FULL VIDEO at [yourdomain/your-post]”
- Put your site in the first line of the description
- Watermark your domain on the video if needed
This turns YouTube into a traffic funnel not a content host.
Why It Works
- You own the content, the analytics, and the viewer experience
- You’re not feeding your viewers to Google’s ad engine
- You’re not getting flagged or demonetized for content that doesn’t fit Big Tech's terms
-----------
More to come for Creators to actually own their own content this July

But the benefit of using YouTube is that you get to embarrass YouTube by talking about what it's like to use YouTube
And how is the level of centralization of the people making the decisions relevant to the definition of shadowban?
How is the group of people making these decisions less centralized than the group of people making decisions for Facebook and reddit?
To clarify my other reply: it means it's not self-custody
I'm not going along with the self-custody bullshit and saying "oh ok it's self custody but with fees"
Bitcoin doesn't charge fees to hold, that's what makes it self custody
If Bitcoin can't handle new developments like the quantum computer without everyone moving their UTXOs and paying fees every few decades, Bitcoin won't be fully self-custody anymore either, it just counts right now because that doesn't look likely
That doesn't sound safe and lossless
In fact it sounds guaranteed to incur losses via fees, and surely riddled with other security issues as a result of being something designed to take money by attracting careless users to insert the money
Note: by "proof" I mean convincing evidence. Obviously someone could deny the proof that Bitcoin has self-custody, but I accept that as proven because there's convincing evidence (people doing it, documenting it, explaining how)
Show me proof
You can't show me proof, because you can't do that with lightning
Aside from oddly not being a #nostr app, one of the most sus things about #pubky is the association with a corporation. Corporations are for people that think life is a game. People who like to be real just do business as ourselves, we don't hide behind brand names.
That difference might have been less clear 100 years ago but the line has become pretty thick now in the modern era of everyone having basic education on stuff like what an LLC is, how "brand" basically means "name" and isn't just a synonym for "company," etc.
The whole scheme of hiding behind a brand name has become so thinly veiled that you'd only do it if you're actually into it.
