you can run another instance -- usual way is with sparrow server (also called sparrow terminal) installed on your node or linux box but can also be done with samourai -- just need to be sure that you set different instances to mix to different indices.

also will help -- regardless of whether you run one ir two instances -- that machine stays up and has good connection to internet, otherwise you will be temporarily banned, which will really slow things down.

if not a misattribution, sounds suspiciously similar to this line by e.e. cummings:

To be nobody but

yourself in a world

which is doing its best day and night to make you like

everybody else means to fight the hardest battle

which any human being can fight and never stop fighting

(and unless my memory is playing tricks on me, it appears that the goodreads site from which i copied the above presumes to know better than mr cummings and has replaced the word "man" with --human being--)

it's like what happens with a ball on a spring where restoring force is proportional to distance from neutral position. ball repeatedly overshoots neutral position as it goes back and forth. interesting thing is that maximum velocity is reached as ball wooshes past neutral position where restoring force is zero, and minimum velocity (zero) is where restoring force is maximum at extremes where ball stops and turns around. damping is due to frictional forces. lots of similar examples in nature: basically anywhere you have "springs" or "waves" you will get sinusoidal motion. "spring" in case of btc chart could be some trader or bot (e.g., grid bot) that increases size of bet that price will revert to mean ("restoring force") with increasing distance from some moving average ("neutral position"). but if so, i expect that sooner or later they will get rekt, like the Nobel Prize winners who made a killing for about 6 months before almost crashing the Western financial system in 1999 (i.e., check out story of hedge fund called LTCM = Long Term Capital Management).

thanks for adding cointoss entropy creation workflow to seedsigner (realize is not in official release yet but looks close!).

if i understand what's going on, i will need to zap this (my own note) to split zaps three ways among keith, seed, and nick. may take a few tries but i'll figure it out eventually. (apparently is easier to zap someone by clicking lightning bolt on their note rather creating note to them oneself...)

4 GB raspberry pis are especially prone to crashes. disabling fast-sync helps but i still saw crashes. as somerfeld recommends, during initial sync i did nightly backups of db so i didnt have to start from scratch on crash. in my case, cause of crash was bitcoind connection error; may have sthg to do with communication with ssd. in any event, what i ended up doing was monitor fulcrum log and stop fulcrum for maybe an hour or so whenever i started seeing bitcoind connection errors.

... clear he's not, based on part 2.

turns out he's actually one of the creators of MMT, and he seems to be gaslighting the female host (will have to listen for her name; she's quite intelligent) on the subject of inflation (devaluation of currency, cantillon effect, etc.)

how goes it? i noted with interest your posts from el salvador (el zonte?)

especially the video of the waves washing onto the shore was relaxing and peaceful. i hope you're enjoying your time there.

here's another video from that monk i mentioned i've been listening to.

here he's talking about the anapanasati sutta (the Buddha's instructions on breath meditation and _sati_, usually translated as _mindfulness_ but which i like to think of less politically correctly and therefore more clearly and plainly, as meaning how to cultivate sanity, i.e., nonconfusion.

one minor thing i think -- if i may presume to say so -- that ven chandima may be remembering incorrectly is that whereas i think he says in the video that of

first 4 of 16 steps, i.e., what we call the first tetrad (body tetrad: other 3 are feelings, mind, and mental phenomena) when the 16 steps are organized into 4 sets of 4 instructions, all 4 steps of the first tetrad end in pali (thus, begin in english) with _pajanati_ ("one knows that...") rather than _sikhati_ ("one trains oneself to..."), i think it is actually only the first two steps (breathing in/out long..., breathing in/out short...) that end in pajanati, which means that it is only the first two steps in which we just try to watch passively (though as another sri lankan monk -- ven henepola gunaratana -- has pointed out, even this is actually a sort of participatory observation; i.e., we cant ignore the dact that, even in the 1st two steps, as we watch the breath we are affecting it...and the point in the first tetrad, as made clear in the instructions at the next 2 steps, is that we figure out in the midst of this participating and observing how to skillfully relax and calm the bodily activities, i.e., breathing).

(sorry to be overly detailed. i have probably been studying/practicing this sutta for sthg like 30 years! let me know if you want good pdf which shows pali with literal english translation in case you are into language and like me want to learn it in language it was spoken in by the Buddha so as to minimize any possible distortion of meaning. it is respect for the Buddha, not disrespect for Ven Chandima, that makes me point out slight issue above about which steps end in pajanati vs sikkhati.)

but ven chandima explains this sutta quite well! far better than i can!

i only have experience with raspiblitz on raspberry pi, which has worked out okay for me so far, but recent strain on lightning network (ordinals etc) has really put raspberry pi to test, especially if you want to run anything interesting in terms of apps, so for hardware probably makes sense to run on old laptop as k3tan suggests (see stephan livera podcast from maybe 3 months ago) or intel nuc etc as dimi suggests below (just realizing now that dimi avatar is just dimi being dimi; had previously thought he was telling me off everytime he reacted to a post. :)

FirefoxBeta (on Android) worked for me. Can convert to PWA by selecting Install from menu after go to Mutiny link but before using app.

was actually a very substantive discussion. if you ignore appearances and the not-unjustified bias against ordinals etc, udi and eric actually made calm reasoned presentation of why it's good to address this unintended consequence of taproot now.

that makes sense, since later similar attempts with different counterparty resulted in hung transaction (no timeout. no notice of successful payment. i eventually hit cancel.), which i took to mean invoice had already been paid by someone else. so looks like invoices are single-use. not following balance to know whether payment/balance reverse, but at least 30 min or so following transaction, my recollection is that was still in history. therefore looks like app debits/credit transaction amount from balance despite failed payment but would need to test more carefully to confirm.
