I'm going to keep an eye out for this women. If I happen to run into her, I will befriend her and make sure she doesn't go missing. Of course this will mess up the fabric of time if I prevent her from going missing and our heads will probably dissapear from our photographs. But, nobody said being an ahead of time hero was an easy task. Thanks for the heads up on this one.

Ok, this got an audible laugh out of me. Wrath and Scientology help it win the day.

Heeheee.

Anyone who found Jesus before you is more saved than you are.

Anyone who integrated clean eating and exercise into their life before you is healthier than you are.

Anyone who took the Covid vax before you trusts the science more (or less depending on your perspective) than you.

Pithy statements are boring and uninsightful. Not trying to be a dick, but life is much more complex than 13 words. Any I bought btc quite early, so I know my logic is solid here :)

Ahhh, the grit in her voice is palpable. Wait till when she finds out how many asscreams they steal from her to pay for her neighbor to chop off her dong, or to subsidize her other neighbor's Elongated Muskrat mobile. How many asscreams are they stealing out her pocket for her neighborhood ULEZ? I need to see her go off on this...

This will give you little TRex arms in no time!

Perhaps this puts me in some sort of conspiracy loonie camp, but Trump is them, they are him. The fact that any well-read, intelligent human participates in the Reality Show that is American politics this late in the lifecycle of empire is beyond baffling for me. This is George Carlin's big club you are not in. The lizard clown politicians take money from their corporate benefactors from one hand whilst dripping honey with false promises into the ignorant electorates ears with the other. Afterwards they all attend the same social circles, hire the same intellectuals into the cabinet ranks (from the same corporations), and trigger the midwits with divide and conquer politics all while making millions at jobs that pay thousands. Wake up humans, you are the target of a multigenerational game. Take control of your own life, liberty, wealth and happiness.

what a great juxtaposition. Yeah, I can pretty easily see both POV. The optimist in my says Finey-thinking is our long term trajectory, but we are in a Kaczynski-slump for a few years to come. Breath throught the K-slump, work toward the Finey future. I have to believe that truth and honesty can find a way to pull a victory if given enough time, otherwise the battle isn't worth the fight.

As we enter election season, I'd just like to offer up my vote for your proposed guillotines.

Entirely not surprising, so now bring on the deluge. As a paper market develops for btc, do we see it turn into boring silver/gold paper contracts with all the associated price suppression, or is bitcoin somehow different in this regard, hence able to thwart the paper fuckery suffered by precious metals?

Isn't the raison d'etre of bitcoin to essentially be the headless body? Isn't that the entire reason for it's existence? I think bitcoin (or any decentralized value) is supposed to, at it's core, eliminate trust in humans in favor of verification by trustless algorithms. As such, I think your opinion better applies to the world the decentralized cohort is attempting to exit.

There are still millions of people that willingly participate in this corrupt, pathetic, and aparently puerile government system by voting. For the life of me I don't understand why. Voting is a charade, not a superpower.

For sure. I've not parted with a single bit of precious metal, it does have an impeccable record (even though it is subjected to the paper scams as well). None of us know how this craziness plays out as the multipolar world (read globalist world) takes shape. POW crypto lead by king bitcoin is unbelievable tech, I love it, and it holds incredible promise. The lizards, however, are transparent now, and consistently reveal they have no boundaries, follow no rules are not guided by morals/principles/etc. So, whatever tricks they employee, the "we" need to be clear eyed and prepared on multiple fronts, IMHO.

Yeah, this is really tricky. Even by shaking out weak hands and destroying short sellers it seems as though that wouldn't resolve the rehypothecation that would be the ultimate fate of paper markets. As long as people have trust in the institutions selling them watered down crap (1:150 paper contracts for instance) they will buy (reference my previous comment on ignorant masses). People buy paper silver/gold in droves, people happily trust USD (though that is waning to a slight degree). The core problem as I can see it is trust. If people don't trust institutions, they won't show up to purchase its products or engage in its schemes. Ignorance breeds trust, skepticism/knowledge(?) demands veracity. How do we precipitate a decline in trust of fraudulent institutions, how do we nudge this rather than waiting for them to collapse upon their own weight??

A bitcoin standard where paper bitcoin is equivalent to private key bitcoin is no different than our current fiat system, except that more institutions get to play the money printer game as they create paper contracts.

This all brings me back to your mention of disorder. Sadly, to me, it seems the only way you can create honesty out of fraud is through massive pain. Most people choose to take their health seriously right after the cancer diagnosis. Hyperinflation educates people on monetary systems. DUIs, firings, broken marriages wake up alcoholics. Ugh, sounds depressing, but feels real. If the bigs can be nudged to failure sooner than later, if the average person's trust in institutions gets rekts much sooner than later, I think the transition to a more honest system could be less destructive/disorderly.

We humans are a trip.

Yep, this is to be expected. Let's be honest here, if (as) this continues, do we just replicate the gold/silver paper markets with base-level bitcoin? I don't see many new "bitcoiners" scrambling to secure their private keys, just like (hisorically) I don't see many investors in gold/silver going through the process of self-custody. On average, people are sadly ignorant, bitcoin can't fix ignorance. So, what are the next steps to prevent paper bitcoin from destroying actual price discovery? This problem has not been solved for the other forms of honest money.

But, muh Rona, I mean, muh birdie flu. How will I keep healthy while eating my free donuts if I can't wear chicken wire on my face to keep out the bugs?
