If you take your "profit" and subtract purchasing power because of the increase of the money supply, minus several taxes and will include new kinds of taxes, even taxes for money you haven't got (unrealized capital gains)., the fact that it's difficult to move around via banks and you have to explain and provide documents about why you're moving your money, then it's not so much of a "profit" indeed.
