Stupid argument, but I'd expect nothing else from Hogg.
I carry a battery powered tire inflator and an impact wrench, so I probably don't need any help.
If someone was to stop and help, I'd want an old guy in a rusted Chevy truck with a shotgun hanging on the back glass, probably missing a couple teeth and wearing 'baccer- stained overalls. That dude will help you out.
Can't imagine a politician being of any use whatsoever.
A septic tank, but one could follow the same procedure with a concrete storm shelter and have an underground storm proof place to run a node or have a few miner, or a root cellar. The possibilities are endless.
Some more #proofofwork

Setting a septic tank. Dig a properly sized hole. Bed the bottom with crushed limestone and smooth it out flat and perfectly level.

Then call the tank manufacturer and tell them you're ready. They'll send out a truck to deliver and set the tank in the hole.

If you prepped the hole right, the tank will be level.

Update: She made it. I waited 4 hours and she spent about a minute and a half looking at the layout and said "Looks good. Here's your permit."
My #proofofwork for today. Dug a ditch for a water line.

Now I'm waiting for the inspector from the county health department to approve my wastewater design so I can set the septic tank.
She said she would be here this morning, but it's now past noon, so she lied.
Probably could have had this job finished by now. But instead have to deal with fiat world bullshit.
I'm a state licensed soil scientist and a state licensed wastewater system installer. I've studied soil across four different states before graduating summa cum laude with an Agronomy degree. But more importantly, for 10 years now, I've been evaluating soil and designing septic systems, all of which are still functioning flawlessly. But I can't complete my work until some gen Z county employee who has only held her position for a few months, and who, judging from her questions over the phone, doesn't even know how to interpret her department's own paperwork yet, comes to the site to check and make sure I'm doing my job correctly. On top of that, she can't even show up when she says she will.
Fuck government at every level.

And here we have what I'm reasonably certain is the first soil morphology description ever posted on Nostr.

This is a typical Southern Missouri upland soil. A silt loam plow layer over a clay subsoil.
Taxonomically, the topsoil is not deep enough or dark enough to be a Mollisol, which means it's an Alfisol. More specifically, the clay increase in the subsoil classifies it as argillic, which will make this soil an argiudalf.

The memes tend to say you need popcorn while watching the markets burn, but I prefer pipe tobacco.
Sutliff Eastfarthing currently in the bowl.
Now off the fiat mines. I have a dip to buy.

π¨ For the first time, a government is being overthrown by 3D-printed weapons π«
The longest-lasting civil war today took an unexpected turn... when the resistance adopted plastic weapons and cryptocurrencies.
You NEED to know what's happening in Myanmar π

Myanmar has never had political stability since gaining independence 76 years ago.
The latest coup was in 2021, banks were drained, and the local currency lost 60% of its value in the following months.
Rebels have since been using CRYPTO to finance themselves.

They declared TETHER as the official currency π
They launched a stablecoin and a crypto bank on the Polygon network that accesses Uniswap pools for buying and selling currencies.
They even created a digital lottery and boycotted the national Myanmar lottery, which saw its revenue drop by 80% π

The rebels have raised about $100 million in recent years.
They even auctioned "revolutionary bonds": buyers could receive a share of a deposed general's mansion, for example.
But this $100 million is nothing compared to the nearly $1 billion that the junta has invested in the war since the coup.

This ASYMMETRY of resources suggests a protracted conflict with no end in sight.
The junta is unable to eliminate all the decentralized insurgency hotspots... but it can exhaust them financially.
However, the asymmetry is decreasing, thanks to DISSIDENT TECHNOLOGIES...

JStark would be proud.
In recent months, there have been reports of FGC9s in use in Myanmar.
FGC9 is one of the most popular models of self-made firearms.
FGC = Fuck Gun Control
No one conquers a city with FGC9s.
But it is certainly possible to...

... defend a mountain pass or a village surrounded by forest with them.
Moreover, the resistance has mastered the art of producing and piloting homemade patrol drones.
Check it out π

The insurgents have already liberated ~50% of the territory.
The military junta controls the most populous and economically significant areas.
China supported the last coup in 2021. The West never had enough incentive to confront Beijing π¨π³
But in 2024, everything starts to change.

China's interest is economic.
They need to be on the side of the "winner" to ensure access to Myanmar's strategic pipelines and ports.
But in March of this year, Beijing lost its patience.
Hold on to this:
π³ 44,000 CHINESE were in Myanmar as "slaves"...

...and they were finally discovered and "returned."
They were working in "ONLINE SCAM CENTERS" operating in the northern part of the country. They were lured with fake job advertisements.
This is a scam center on the border with Thailand, packed with Chinese workers, scamming people worldwide π

Think about this π
Youβve probably been targeted by some online profile trying to scam you, operated by one of the THOUSANDS of trafficked Chinese people working in centers like this.
What year are we living in, folks?! π³

The fight against tyranny still seems far from over. But the end appears to have already begun.
The balance of power is shifting.
Decentralized technologies eroding the power of the industrialized nation state.

Took the day off yesterday to go kayaking.
No Internet, no phone (except to take this pic), just the river, kayak, and friends.
Now, it's back to work for the week, and it's going to be a hot one.

I'm not particularly thrilled with the US government having a strategic Bitcoin reserve,
But I'm pretty sure if the US government doesn't have a strategic Bitcoin reserve in place, then someday in the future when the need for Bitcoin becomes apparent, the government will just seize the Honeypot that is Coinbase custody.
Unfortunately for Kamala, Ripple is in fact, burdened by what has been.
Slotted is like gold. Old tech, not suitable for modern power tools, but useful in certain applications.
Phillips is fiat garbage. Intentionally designed to cam out to prevent ignorant factory workers from over tightening screws.
Torx (six-lobe) just works. Like Bitcoin, it should be the new global standard.
Square drive is okay, but not quite as good as torx.
The rest are equivalent to useless shitcoins.

It's 11:30 on a Tuesday morning. Do we know where our president is? Is he conscious, or even alive.
In the age of AI, an awkward speaker phone conversation at a press conference is not proof of consent, nor is it proof of life. It really just makes the situation more suspicious.
It occurs to me that the people would trust their government a lot more if the government would at least try to conduct itself in a trustworthy manner.
