The Nostr Notes / Reply ratio says a lot about how you approach socials.

I've noticed that the vast amount of bitcoin influencers have not showed up here on nostr yet. I dont think they care. They just want views and clicks and monetizing their fiat denominated channels.

I guess we know who's incentives line up.

You couldn't pay me to go back to the old social networks. It's painful to be there. You end up censoring yourself or getting censored, ridiculed, and people pick fights instead of start a dialog. It's exhausting.

As someone who plays Dungeons and Dragons regularly, if I were to participate in a D&D roleplaying livestream, would you watch it?

Like if I play the angsty sorcerer, or the frustrated cleric, or the happy-go-lucky barbarian that has very specific anger triggers, would you find this amusing?

There are a bunch of successful D&D livestreams out there. The best ones are run by theater and voice actor pros.

But what if you had a bunch of public bitcoiners in the event, and most of them are highly charismatic semi-pros, and then some of them like me are autistic but, like, trying our our best as nerds that like the game.

Would you watch that or nah?

Funny thing is, when you allow yourself to be convenient and accommodating long enough you start to lose sight of your inner worth. You become overly accepting, and before you know it, nothing you had hoped for comes to fruition. You see the truth for what it was all along. And you recognize your own value system.. and how far you swayed from the path.

What’s to stop a consortium of tradfi entities from making their own Bitcoin side chain that can issue securities? What’s Liquid’s moat?

If you were an entity that issues, custodies, or trades securities…and “digital assets” on Liquid was a credible threat to your business model as a middleman for securities, wouldn’t you get in on the action by making your own federated side chain? Why let yourself be disintermediated by Liquid?

The stock market… worldwide… but priced in bitcoin and built on the rails of the Bitcoin network.

If you're not prepared for anyone doing anything they want with your stuff, don't make it open source, everything else is a stop gap, cause anyone can still do what you don't want them to do, probably outside of jurisdiction.

If we keep participating in non btc/dev/etc content too, it’s gonna open up the horizon for Nostr. Nice work
