Instead of frequently doing/joining Twitter Spaces, I'm thinking of firing up #Nostr Nests going forward.

I think there'd be interest. I personally am more of a watch a recording on 2x kind of guy so I prefer youtube but I think there'd be interest

We do nostr:npub14kw5ygpl6fyqagh9cnrytyaqyacg46lzkq42vz7hk8txdk49kzxs04j7y0 on Nests every Friday.
Nests functionality is better than Spaces but the browser extension hurdle is the main issue.
Browser extension signs in your npub and allows for the full functionality of nests. However, many users can’t seem to figure it out.
Alby is certainly the best as it brings your zapping wallet along with the functionality of chat and speaking. Verses NoStore, Nos2x and etc.
Summary, nests is bad ass. Little learning curve but it’s worth it in the long game.

Could easily use nostr-login for login which would allow you to sign in with or without an extension using something like nsec.app. Nsec.app works great. I think people are sleeping on it cause it’s not easy to understand how it works at first.

It’s just nice to have your actual profile though if you are looking to consistently run a nest. 😄

It allows you to login with your account to apps without using a nip-07 extension and without entering your nsec into every app. It’s super awesome. I have a feeling people just don’t understand that that’s what it’s does.
I’m one of them. But I just use Alby. It’s when we have guests is where we get baffled. We end up using burner npubs to get by and the “guests” in the chat seem like they are troubleshooting the whole time.
Also Nsec.app I’ve found gets a little laggy or non functional with certain browsers.
I find Brave + Alby is the best performance for my use. I’m sure it fluctuates with users.
Why is it hidden under create an account? You should be able to sign in like in the nostr-login flow. Implementing nostr-login is super simple by the way. It’s nice cause it lets you login with a nip-07 extension if it detects one and if not you can login in other ways and then it just acts like a nip-07 extension.

I like how nostr:npub1sk7mtp67zy7uex2f3dr5vdjynzpwu9dpc7q4f2c8cpjmguee6eeq56jraw did it with zap.stream. Kind of shamed the youtube streamers over to zap.stream. You could do the same with Spaces and try to integrate nests.

In the long run Twitter spaces being totally trapped in Twitter is very frustrating. Even just doing as a podcast is superior imho vs Twitter
There is a lack of macro content over here. However, there is (broadly) a lot less engagement over here than there is on Twitter. Kinda feels like shouting into the void. But I would welcome your contributions over here … one voice at a time.

#NostrNests is really underrated platform imo, and it is shame it has not got more traction so far. Would Love to see Podcasts hosts use it more, f.ex. for their live showes ect.
