As someone who plays Dungeons and Dragons regularly, if I were to participate in a D&D roleplaying livestream, would you watch it?

Like if I play the angsty sorcerer, or the frustrated cleric, or the happy-go-lucky barbarian that has very specific anger triggers, would you find this amusing?

There are a bunch of successful D&D livestreams out there. The best ones are run by theater and voice actor pros.

But what if you had a bunch of public bitcoiners in the event, and most of them are highly charismatic semi-pros, and then some of them like me are autistic but, like, trying our our best as nerds that like the game.

Would you watch that or nah?

Sure, I'd watch.

I've never played.

Would def watch.

Would it include information for the curious but who have never played?

I would do my best to make sure, yeah.

Please yes!! Been getting into DnD with friends. I love the chill nerd vibes.

nostr:npub1zjx3xe49u3njkyep4hcqxgth37r2ydc6f0d7nyfn72xlpv7n97ss73pvrl has been trying to set this exact idea up as a podcast for two years now.

I’m aware of this fact, my good sir. Perhaps one day it could materialize.

No. I absolutely would not, lol. But more power to you and the D&D peeps.

Fair.

I would absolutely watch it !

We would all probably watch to see you as a normie

With all due respect, nah.

Fair.

nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev to DM?

I would definitely watch, but it appears I may be in the minority.

It depends on the cast and synergy. And it should be propor D&D if people try to mix a bitcoin theme on D&D it would sound cheesy and forced to me. It Never Hurts to do a Pilot and Test the Waters

Probably once for the nostalgia, because it's been decades since I played. Wouldn't watch regularly for the same reason I never play: no time.

Maybe our generations will be paying D&D in the retirement home, tho. ;)

I’d zap it

Bring it on! I'd love to watch it 😁

This post made me wonder: How come Nostr/clients doesn't have a poll feature yet??

Happy go lucky barbarian!

1. Nostr is multiple games.

2. Gamification of the world 🌎

3. Meetups are that.

For sure this must be part of it: https://warhammer40000.com

If you're into gamifying the world, check out my company nostr:nprofile1qqsyc8dt4376rxq0lskzs7r8rp9tj4ar55mzlywnuk9kdlyq6v8vj6spr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9u5mj0fq and our gaming platform Scramble:

I’m not a gamer but will share 😊

I feel that BTC and D&D are on about exactly the same nerd frequency. To hell with potential audience size, you should do it because it sounds like a blast. Play D&D (on livestream) like no one is watching!

Maybe a bit but probably nah

Should do a nostr version on bitcoin testnet. tbtc, bits and sats are like gold, sliver, copper pieces. Every block you regenerate hitpoints. Save character on the chain for some gp. Leveling up costs gp and is saved forever. Afteryou die you can go see the full history of your character.

I’d watch bitcoiners discuss bitcoin and freedom technologies. I don’t care about the rest, I have a life to live.

Let’s fire it up on Zapstream!

nah

well, maybe a little to see that it is happening, but not the whole thing

I would not, however I don’t think I’m your target market. I think there would be huge demand for this.

I’m not into D n D but I’d give it a watch out of curiosity.

Lyn doing anything (specially something different than what she’s known for) I’m tuning in

Possibly better signal than 90% of podcasts.

I would watch it for sure! Is the DM a bitcoiner?

- Ok, you see your gold pieces are tiner and you now have to pay twice the price for the magic sword. What do you do?

- You can also only carry X gold pieces. How do you store your wealth?

- The king cannot fight the dark elves because he's broke. What do you do?

😅

No, I will not watch other people play D&D

Twitchstr content. I never played D&D but it would be interesting to learn. Would I watch it regularly? Probably not, but I am sure some will.

I'd not only watch it but I'd participate if possible. Gotta have a GREAT DM though.

Do it - that’s how we orange pill the D&D crowd

The "Pardon my Take Podcast" did this and people loved it. They had a kick ass Dungeon Master that made it a lot of fun and exciting storyline. DnD is underrated.

That would be extremely entertaininbg...

sure would

I say start with a one-shot instead of a campaign, try to keep it short if possible. A "5 room dungeon" might be a good place to start. I would tune into a live stream for a one-shot, but these can be very boring and slow paced for a spectator.

I would not, but also don't watch/listen to the famous ones either. For me the only fun is in playing

This would be a fun watch!

I would watch AND zap 💜

I’d watch!!!

I definitely would watch!! 👀

On a related note, have you ever heard of Dungeon Crawler Carl, by Matt Dinniman? I think you might like it, especially the audiobook.

Good entry point to the "Oh no, I'm trapped in a game world!" genre dating back to Tron.

I'd check it out! D&D was a huge part of my childhood. Also played a fantasy LARP for 5+ years. 😄

SEND IT!

Absolutely.

I would watch it!

never played but when I was young, I loved thumbing thru my d&d friends' player books, monster manuals, so on. just found creating a character more interesting than the gameplay.

more recently I could find myself playing a game with friends, but know nothing about the gameplay itself.

nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a check this guy out you could do an XR livestream and really level up the production quality: https://parkerhowell.com/portfolio/instaquest/

And yeah we’d watch it

yes! that would be great!

My wife couldn't get me to watch critical role so unless you're raising the bar somehow...

No.
