Building my own kingdom. Powered by the sun, detached from the system. A decade off-grid. Freedom is non-negotiable. Bitcoin is the weapon. Enduring the collapse with a smile.

Unless you control much of your OS and are running a messaging system where everything routes through your own server(s) there's there's going to be a much higher probability of an attack vector on you.

I run a Google Pixel 9 with graphene OS and Simplex messaging routed through my own server.

If I message somebody outside of this same setup there's a potential for compromisation. for example I messaged somebody running Simplex through my server who operates on Apple iOS. Apple could technically intercept a message.

Good thing I don't have anything super exciting to hide but in a world of ever increasing authoritarian dictatorship. Best to get started on unfucking your lack of privacy.

Moral of the story is be in control of everything your intellectual ability will allow. If not, get learnt.

I spent an inordinate amount of time this week (literally hours watching YouTube reviews and reading reviews) researching phone cases and glass screen protectors for my new Pixel 9 Pro XL.

I really wish more case manufacturers would focus on enhancing the phone's design rather than changing it. IMO, most cases take a $1500 sleekly designed phone and make it look cheap.

Anyway, here were my requirements:

Glass Screen Protector:

- Easy to install with alignment tool

- Drop test protection

- Scratch resistant (9H hardness)

- High optical clarity

- Minimal/no rainbowing effect with polarized lenses

- Precise cutouts

- Full coverage without camera cutout

- Case compatibility

- Front and back camera coverage

- Minimal to no impact on photo/video quality

- Does not affect fingerprint recognition

- Does not affect swipe/gesture functionality

- Oleophobic coating for smudge resistance

- Reasonable cost

Case:

- Minimalist design

- Slim profile with solid drop protection

- Raised corner lips for screen protection

- Raised lip rear camera protection

- Responsive, clicky buttons

- Unimpeded swipe functionality

- Easy port access

- Precise cutouts

- Minimal dust collection points

- Balanced grip (not too slick/rough)

- Fingerprint-resistant

- Lightweight and compact

- MagSafe compatibility (bonus)

- Microfiber interior (preferred)

- Design enhancement, not detraction

- Full NFC and Qi2 charging compatibility

- Heat dissipation

- Reasonable cost

After extensive research, I settled on Spigen for both:

Case: Spigen Tough Armor (Matte Black)

Cost: $15.99 (on sale)

- Pros: Meets most requirements

- Compromises: No MagSafe, lacks microfiber interior

Screen Protection: Spigen Glass Protectors (front and back)

Cost: 18.99 + $14.99

- Spigen Camera Lens Protector [GlasTR EZ FIT Optik]

- Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR EZ FIT]

- Pros: Meets all requirements, includes applicator and spare protector

- Compromises: May not match Zagg's drop protection, might cause some blurring with telephoto lens (will test)

Total cost (before tax): $49.97

While this combination might not be everyone's ideal choice, I feel it is a well-researched balance of protection, functionality, and design. I'll let you know how the real world test goes when they arrive. Hope this helps others in their search for a reasonably solid Pixel 9 Pro XL protection setup at a reasonable price.

I've tried a number of those screen protectors and I've given up on them. they always affect the fingerprint in some way shape or form. report back on yours.

And no I don't give fucks, I give sats

One slide after then next giving current BTC stats

it literally only works on a Google pixel phone. I don't know if there is much you can do in an iPhone. you can jailbreak it but that brings in other security vulnerabilities. grapheneOS is designed specifically for the inner workings of a pixel.

I had an iPhone since the first iPhone. I'll never look back now. I absolutely love my Pixel. and although graphene can be a little quirky in some ways, you sacrifice a few things for the benefit of your privacy, it's amazing

you also aren't some algorithms bitch

Stay sovereign AF.

Your cell phone is the most advanced spying device ever created. Which with each new successor ie. iPhone 11 to iPhone 12 etc The vulnerabilities increase.

Running open source OS like graphene on a Pixel phone is a solid way to circumvent that surveillance. It's not foolproof though, One must still watch what they put on their phone and understand their settings.

Kind of crazy, all of these respiratory viruses, one that I'm just getting over, not sure what the hell it is, are just now coming out right before the 2025 Prezi inauguration. The timing is close to Trump's first round.

I swear almost everybody I know has been sick in the last month

All depends on how much time you want to spend eliminating things. I would argue for some that certain drugs in moderation aren't going to hurt you under normal conditions. heroin, meth, some of the highly addictive and dirty drugs no bueno

too much of anything is harmful. moderation and consistent learning about what you're eating.

it also depends on a person's body type some people digest meat easier than they would digest certain veggies.

I highly recommend people spend a couple hundred bucks and take a DNA based food allergy test just to get an idea of what made you should watch out for in your diet. you may not be allergic to something but it may cause inflammation in your gut that you do not notice that makes it so that certain nutrients cannot uptake.

again, moderation. people live into the hundreds eating all kinds of shit
