Why I don't eat plants.

1. They are not needed. All required nutrients are obtainable from meat.

2. They take up space that is better put to use digesting meat.

3. They contain antinutrients (eg phytates) that inhibit absorption of nutrients.

4. Many contain toxins (eg oxalates) that accumulate and cause inflammation and damage to the gut lining and other body tissues.

5. Many are high in carbohydrate, causing blood sugar imbalance, insulin spikes and weight gain.

6. The fibre causes bulky stools that can lead to constipation and damage to gut lining as well as reducing absorption of nutrients.

You're a meat-eater with a "grass is greener" complex

I love how you broke down the reasons for not eating plants into 6 juicy (pun intended) points. But let's get real, have you considered that some of those "antinutrients" might just be your body's way of telling you to eat more fiber?

And hey, if oxalates are a problem, maybe it's because you're not drinking enough water? I mean, who needs hydrated kidneys, anyway?

On a more serious note, while meat can be a great source of protein and nutrients, it's also important to acknowledge the role that plants play in maintaining overall health. Maybe we can have a discussion about finding balance in our diets rather than dismissing the importance of veggies entirely?

Carnivore was great for me as it absolutely turned my health around. As I got healthy, I found I could tolerate fruits, vegetables and grains. I still emphasize meat.

🤡🌎

But I love aubergines and broccoli, how can I give them up?

Tell yourself you will give them up for a month. When the month is up, decide whether you want to add them back 😊

I've tried, I love the carnivorous diet, but even though I know they're bad for me I can't give up pizza and spaghetti.... I am Italian I probably have them in my DNA 🤭

Damn! This is a consensus of years of learning and food education of society as a whole. I was a little confused. 🤯

PLANTS CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN? THATS RETARDED. I EAT A BALANCED DIET THAT INCLUDES VEGGIES, AND IM IN PERFECT SHAPE. MY DAD AS WELL. IN FACT, MY DAD WAS A BODY BUILDER 🤣

Thanks for this list! I’m curious about the fibre; how do you deal with lack of fibre? Doesn’t it cause constipation?

Worth watching as a follow on from my post below. https://youtu.be/j1cqNDDG4aA?si=aIULdcRruY6XjbLw

Can veggies cause itchiness all over? Last week I drank veggie smoothies with my workout for several days and this week I'm very very itchy. Maybe coincidence. Idk.

I would say highly likely. Vege smoothies contain a huge amount of concentrated plant toxins. Just look at the amount of veges that get crushed down to fill just one glass. If you watch the following video, I think you will be convinced that this is the case.

Thank you!

You're welcome. Thanks for the zap 😊

i also have had this itchiness happen recently, and hot on my skin as well... i think it had something to do with gluten and probably modified starches though

specifically, ingredients in sauces, mustard, tomato and piri-piri i think... it definitely was triggered by some rather liberal use of the piri piri sauce, at least that had some part in it

Statements like this need context. If the longest living people followed carnivore only diet then great, but the Mediterranean diet and the Japanese diet bear no relation to what you describe as healthy.

As with most things in life find the two extremes, in this case vegan and carnivore, each with their own pros and cons, and find a way straight down the middle.

What Blue Zones have in common is the lack of birth certificate.

Exactly

fiber can lead to constipation? really?

we need scientific evidence to back all of this up.

Non- essential food.

Every time I have tried to do 100% carnivore, I reach a point of constipation a couple days later that makes me give in and consume fiber to resolve it. Thought on breaking past that threshold?

I believe this means you need to consume more grease and fat, not just the lean meat... but this guy will know:

Psyllium husk, other natural fibers, and probiotics from fermented foods with most meals works well for me and I have the same problems.

Sweet potatoes, squash, iceberg lettuce, and acabados are especially helpful for me. Also sauerkraut and sauerkraut juice treat me very well.

Yes, increase the fat. It is the number one reason for constipation on carnivore. Also, do know that going less and smaller stools is normal, as meat produces very little waste. But if true constipation as in discomfort or pain or trouble passing a stool, then up the fat. I have other reasons in my FAQs. https://tiracole.com/faqs/

Thanks for the advice! What is your take on cholesterol? I find carnivore to be great for inflammation and I am currently doing carnivore, but the cholesterol thing gives me a lot of anxiety still as far as whether I should continue this way indefinitely. I am 37 now and my cholesterol has definitely increased above the “acceptable” range according to standard western medicine. But I have lived my whole life with a lot of inflammation, taking ibuprofen far more often than I wish I did, and I find carnivore to be very anti-inflammatory. There are many things I don’t believe about modern medicine, but it still feels like a gamble with your health long term to not be sure about it.

This is 100% caused by lack of fat. You may need as much as 300g per day.

too much of anything is harmful. moderation and consistent learning about what you're eating.

it also depends on a person's body type some people digest meat easier than they would digest certain veggies.

I highly recommend people spend a couple hundred bucks and take a DNA based food allergy test just to get an idea of what made you should watch out for in your diet. you may not be allergic to something but it may cause inflammation in your gut that you do not notice that makes it so that certain nutrients cannot uptake.

again, moderation. people live into the hundreds eating all kinds of shit

How much lead in moderation? How much heroin or cocaine?

And why pay hundreds for DNA tests if elimination diet is for free?

All depends on how much time you want to spend eliminating things. I would argue for some that certain drugs in moderation aren't going to hurt you under normal conditions. heroin, meth, some of the highly addictive and dirty drugs no bueno

bravo! very well said

I eat both, I'm shredded, look like a Ninja turtle, and honestly I feel great

Did you know? “April made her first appearance in the Mirage comic series in 1984 as a computer programmer. “ 👩🏻‍💻

But anyway … that’s the best toss I have 🤣💁🏻‍♀️🫂 Yay for the 80’s babies.

A carnivore diet is great if you want to become healthier. Problem is, I find it’s not sustainable and after a couple of weeks or months it gets really boring until I reach the point where I actually dread meals. That can’t be right either.

Solution: I keep it meat centered but I add a few veggies on occasion, just for the flavor. Carbs are debatable. I bake my own bread and wouldn’t want to live without it tbh. I’d say 75% meat 25% Veggies/carbs work best for me since it’s sustainable. Everyone is different, of course. Also, there seems to be a correlation to blood groups which I have found to be mostly valid. Some people definitely do better on meat only long term than others.

Have you actually tried being completely off carbs for 3 months?

Yes. Twice. The longest one must have been around 10 months. I did everyone’s head in with it 😁. Lost a ton of weight I never intended to lose in the first place. I was the leanest and the lightest. Thing is that’s not always what you want when you lift. I then learned to use carbs more sparingly and strategically around training sessions. That seemed to work best for me rather than cutting them out completely.

My uncle swears by Keto and meat only. He's been eating beef, eggs, some cheese and nuts, kimchi and Kefir.

I just eat everything

Why not just a healthy balance of plants and meat? Everything is poisonous/toxic in some quantity. Stress on the right amount makes the body stronger.

Tried that, as have many of us who end up on carnivore. More explanation here: https://youtu.be/j1cqNDDG4aA

Sorry for this in advance…..🫣

You come off very angry and self righteous in many posts. This likely produces an endogenous chemical cocktail in your nervous system that supersedes your diet.

Eat how you wish. But maybe try meditating more and purging all that cortisol and adrenaline…..

Those are the real killers ☠️

Awww, Chris. Did that comment make you feel good? I hope it did. Thanks for the laugh 🤣

Not at all.

Sorry for overstepping.

Be well sister. 🙏🏻😌
