I harvest at any time. I'm not sure if first year or second year growth is better. I haven't noticed any difference in flavor, smoked or in tea.
The flowers and roots are also used by some, I haven't tried this.

I just fed my chickens with a couple male plants. I love mullein spliffs and mullein tea. Love the detailed threads that continually get updated
I initially wanted it to fail because I thought this is not easy enough to self host. I thought if everyone was running a node, it would be better fuck you money.
I have changed my thinking because so much cool stuff is being built around lightning and it is getting easier to self host.
