You can easily just add their relay into it: wss://relay.0xchat.com

The important part is to signal to the network that you are ready to receive private DMs.

Too many developers trying to make the superapp of Nostr when the best approach is too have smaller apps doing less things and a better compatibility layer between them.

My point is that we shouldn't just dismiss the state of DMs as you suggested in the first reply. Devs should implement NIP-17 as it stands today even though NIP-104 is in the horizon.

Considering that NIP-17 took about 1.2 years to be developed, audited, implemented by 2+ clients and merged, MLS will take another year to be ready.

Nice, tried to find a zap to you but got none and the relay won't allow me to query zaps without a/p/e/h tags. I'll keep looking to see if I can find any. Kind of related question: are you seeing h-tags in zap receipts? The zaps NIP doesn't explicitly mention that single-letter tags must be included in the receipt, just a/p/e tags.

To be honest, I noticed this only once: from two phones of different npubs, the contents of the open group were different - one showed 3 messages, the other - 2. Moreover, these were messages from one person - it was your answers to questions of users in the open group. And one of them was not delivered. The difference between the two devices was in the connection - each had its own network and possibly VPN or Tor.

I noticed that Primal removes a lot of replies. Relays are the same in two clients, but Primal shows less comments to same note. More fun (or sad) that 0xChat sometimes "losing" messages. In group chat one can see 3 messages, on another npub in the same chat there's 2 messages. That's a protocol issue, I think.

If I use Oxchat to respond to DM's on Nostr, but the person I'm messaging uses Primal, is there a chance he/her won't receive anything?

I'd love to help you integrate the nip-104 MLS stuff when it's time. At the moment though, I would definitely not recommend trying to integrate what's in the spec as much of it has changed already in my implementation.

I'm still working on the implementation so as soon as that's ready, I'll have a bit of library code that will help you integrate more quickly and, like I said, I'll be happy to help out as much as I can.

I think it still early to remove channels but must be done at some point I think there should be more compatibility with linking the invite of nip29 groups on other clients and outside nostr with a link or something not just the QRCode.
