As my time in El Zonte, El Salvador, comes to an end, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible experience of living in a place where Bitcoin is seamlessly integrated into daily life Throughout my stay.

I relied entirely on Bitcoin for all my expenses, never needing to use the local currency.

This experience has shown me the true potential of a world where Bitcoin is widely accepted.

Today, I successfully onboarded three shops in Maseke Village, Phalaborwa, to start accepting #Bitcoin as payment. This is another step toward building a circular economy while focusing on educating children for a brighter future in collaboration with @btcconservation.

This Saturday, on the 24 of August, at our Bitcoin Ekasi Center, we will proudly celebrate the third anniversary of the nostr:npub1zkr064avsxmxzaasppamps86ge0npwvft9yu3ymgxmk9umx3xyeq9sk6ec project. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of hard work and everyone who has contributed to making this vision a reality.

For the celebration, we will be sourcing our supplies from local shops that now accept Bitcoin as a form of payment. This choice not only supports our local businesses but also highlights how far we’ve come since the early days of onboarding the first shops in the township.

The journey was far from easy, but it reinforced a valuable lesson: if you are passionate about something, persistence is key. Keep pushing forward until you achieve your goals.
