What’s the nitrogen to carbon ratio (greens to browns) ? How often did you turn it? What’s the ambient temperature you are composting in?

I’m not sure this is accurate. A presidential pardon is for federal crimes. The person who received the pardon could still be convicted in a state court or implicate themselves in a civil manner. I’m pretty sure the 5th amendment still applies.

Austrian winter peas, daikon, radishes, and winter rye. The peas fix nitrogen. The daikon leaves behind a big root for worm food and rye holds the soil together well.

GM Nostr. Every fall I plant a winter cover crop in my garden. Today I moved my chickens onto the garden to kill the cover crop, and scratch up pests and weeds. I’ll pull them out about 30 days before planting so any droppings can mellow.

My favorite part of this is watching happy chickens get greens for the first time in about four or five months.

The oldest went to public school, but I would’ve sent her to Montessori if I knew better back then. She’s quite a bit older than the younger two. We did practice a lot of Montessori techniques with her at home. Allowing her to do self-directed work became a reward. For example, in our house once a week, we practiced family cleaning day. Her job was to clean the fridge. She could put her headphones on and get lost in the task for hours. It was very soothing for her to focus on a single task. However, if we gave a multifaceted task like clean your room, we would have to pop in all the time and give her direction and she hated it. In order to gain cooperation from her on various things throughout the week it eventually evolved into.” I won’t let you clean the fridge on family cleaning day unless you do the thing I’m asking you to do right now.” Every kid is different and it was a slow observational process on our part as the parents to learn how to direct her focus on things she wouldn’t be resistive to in order to teach her good habits that carried over into adulthood.

A doctor once told me that my oldest child (ADHD and a bunch of other things) would never leave home. She’s 30, has a full time job, lives with a serious boyfriend and served in the military. My younger sons went to Montessori from preschool through high school. AMA

I briefly worked at an auto parts store in Chicago when I was a teenager. Being the only white guy working amongst latinos race never really came up. Until one day my manager said “Keep an eye on that nigger, he always steels from us.” My jaw hit the floor. I was stunned, in shock. My manager noticed and asked about my reaction. “I didn’t think Mexicans used that word. I mean, I’m white, you’re all the same to me.” He got the joke, we laughed and he apologized.

Did you do a risk tolerance survey yet? When they ask you about your investment goals with questions like “Would you rather have a guaranteed return of 5% or a chance at a 20% return with a 25% chance of loosing everything?” They are assessing your risk tolerance and will only offer you options within your risk tolerance range. If you don’t have a high risk tolerance you won’t be offered anything to do with bitcoin.

Most 401k plans only offer limited options for investments. What investment options are available to you?

GM frens! Took this picture on my way out to feed the livestock this morning. Everyone is doing well. Lots of straw to keep them warm. Fresh water 2x a day when it ices over. No one was shivering and everyone came out for breakfast and a drink before hurriedly going back to the coop/nest/barn.

Feeling kind of grateful this morning. This is the life I built for myself. This where I want to be and what I want to be doing.
