Right now Meshtastic runs on it's own firmware, which is focused on Meshtastic features.
If the Meshtastic team were to make a client in their firmware, then we'll see it. However, that's a large departure (in terms of coding) from where they are now. I don't see that happening anytime soon, and might require an overhaul of existing Meshtastic code if it's not already designed well. If they've done well with their code design, it might be able to be shoehorned in easily. Still, Meshtastic would need a lot of "web structure" built in first.
