The only people I've seen bashing it haven't read it. They prefer Tweet-bashing and straw-manning. Lopp criticised the book after reading which is fine.

People don't need to agree with what the book says to get value out of it. And having read it myself I think most would be very surprised at how reasonable and based its contents are.

I'm not surprised the Pentagon banned it at all. This book is for bitcoiners, but most bitcoiners are too stubborn to read it.

The combined value of each public company mining/holding bitcoin balance sheet + intangibles?

Does anyone have an idea of how big the surrounding ecosystem of Bitcoin is in dollar terms? E.g. How much the industry is worth not including the price of the asset?

Most people are terrible at resisting social pressure.

Unfortunately, this is reinforced behavior, as compliance not just to authorities but the norms they set is learned from 12 years of government education.

Out of curiosity what’s your favorite way(s) to process anger?

My preferred ways:

1) Buying some of the ugliest breakables from a thrift store. Smashing them in an empty parking lot. Then I sweep it all up.

2) Going for a run or swim until my rage is exhausted and I’m having trouble breathing.

*I used to stress smoke cigarettes but I don’t allow myself to do that anymore. I feel like there must be a physiological reason why being out of breath calms me down.

3) Music.
