Geek. Bitcoiner. Economist.

If you eventually plan to open several, probably not super-important. If it's going to be your only channel, then best to stick with an LSP.

Would be happy to have your channel at Jayhawkpleb: 0230e8b298bef620df9640c7a956106f905dbc48d5cedadd5837f3a22a9cdced28

Also see the Plebnet channels on Telegram. Great bunch of folks!

Cursed image! Reported and blocked! 😂

I just switched some hash from Ocean to Braiins because the shenanigans at Ocean were too much. Also have some hash at Nicehash, which has been nice in the past because of Lightning payouts. But yesterday they started charging an undocumented fee on ln withdrawals over our mutual channel, so I'm going to move that, too.

Right now, deciding between trying ViaBTC and lottery mining on a solo pool. What did you think about ViaBTC?

Getting cold here in WV. Just ordered myself a new space heater. https://d-central.tech/product/antminer-s9-space-heater-edition/

What the hell is this? nostr:npub1h7q33mdp6z8455mcxyeyu9y906p8s06nf5p65j8yrjvk9t7e9fkq73ykld

Do we need to copyright the nostr brand just so we can send cease and desist messages to crypto scammers?

The irony is their highlighted trending post thing is just fine, but they’re claiming some nostr blockchain coin.

"Consensus" neq "what all nodes will propagate"

"Consensus" EQ "what all nodes will accept in a block"

Large op_returns don't violate consensus.

Yeah. I've got a force close stuck way underneath that mess. :(

What did you do now? ;)

Meanwhile, Twitter can't seem to stop the rampant "crypto" spam that is so lazy a good regex ought to catch it. I guess we know what their priorities are…

Someone wake me when we hit $41K.

Taco trucks. You've invented taco trucks.

I'm still pissed that Clinton didn't get elected so we'd have taco trucks on every corner.

Nope.

The larger Ocean gets, and the more it mitigates the effects in its blocks, the more fees it will leave on the table for other pools. And once individual miners are building their own blocks via Stratum V2, I'd expect that many will choose to maximize fees even on Ocean.

The incentive to spam-filter isn't the same for miners as it is for SMTP servers.
