Thanks for reminding me to do my Duolingo practice. ;)
One of these my German will be good enough to listen to the Einundzwanzig podcast…
God himself could resurrect Moses and give him stone tablets with the whitepaper outlining the perfect cryptocurrency and still degens would find a way to shitcoin with it and corporate shills would claim it's a great new "blockchain" technology.
Is that gross or net?
I've "earned" more than that on my node, but after on-chain fees (and a bit of rebalancing), I'm still in the red.
Making that shirt older than most of the undergrads you meet who can legally drink now. 😂
Pretty embarrassing to see some of my fellow economists signing this letter, even if some of them are the usual statist suspects. https://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2024/09/scholars-in-support-of-the-moraes-brazil-decision-against-x.html
Well, I have that set, so we'll see, I guess.
Would rather have Amethyst able to update in the background, though.
Might have been a stream. Don't remember exactly what it was. Definitely was from Amethyst, though.
It's not clear to me why Amethyst spawns that separate window in the first place, or why it's so friggin hard to kill. Or why it keeps playing like a zombie even when Amethyst is backgrounded.
Is that going to apply to the separate window it spawns?
This is awesome, even though the network at my day job blocks Tor. But my *personal* pain point with Amethyst right now is the way it leaves another window open after playing media. Cost me $40+ in data charges recently because I didn't catch it and it sat there playing a video on repeat… 😭
Two good ones I'm currently reading:

Just don't tell me your name is "Jim" and expect me to remember that your pronoun is "she". You're lucky if I can remember your name, never
mind another datum.
In my mind, this is canonically about what happened when AOL added Internet access in the mid-90s. ;)
I accomplish the same thing by just periodically nuking my old tweets. 😂
Is that what the Pod256 guys were on about? LOL
One great sci-fi author who publishes that way and might get lost in the noise is Greg Egan. He's probably in my top 5 living sci-fi authors, but everything is, like, $4.99 Kindle releases.
