Mornin #Nostr
After the early morning grain run yesterday I had to work my ass off to get to the point I could empty it all. Mowing, weeding, tilling, then finally spreading the grain. The garlic should be happy when it gets planted in October.
We got a couple really nice summer rains in the evening as a pair of cells went right overhead as we watched the Terminator movies. To this day Ed Furlong's voice is super grating throughout the entire movie.

The punks win. They called it back then and here we are.
I have found the best way to ingest is to dice into tiny pieces then mix with a juice and shoot it. No taste from chewing the fucking things.
Exactly, farmers have burned the fields for eons to put the ash back in the soil.
Worst thing to happen to the health of the forests, EVER. Smokey the bear is part of why we have such massive fires today. Fire is an essential part of a healthy forest and removing it completely with nothing to replace it, well that's why we are where we are.
GOBBLES! #nostr
Yesterday I got beets harvested then stuffed Chioggia seeds back in 37 spots in each of the two rows. The is my first real attempt at a second harvest as I normally have just grown the once each summer. The raspberries are invading my greenhouse and I have some work to do to rectify the situation and prevent them from continuing. I got started on pulling the weeds in the garlic area but today I have to get it done as the trailer is loaded with grain that needs to get spread over it to prep the soil for fall planting.

Tis morning again #Nostr
After the dentist yesterday morning I wasn't exactly up for much the rest of the day though I did manage to get a few things done. The harvests were all on the smaller side for the day which is fine, I'm actually growing closer to what we can use ourselves this year. I for sure have enough peas drying for seeds for next year and I need to let a couple squash get huge so I can have seeds.

Hallo #Nostr
Managed to get all 3 rows of pea plants pulled over the day yesterday then got all 3 rows planted again. I also stuffed spinach seeds in the greenhouse soil just to see what happens. I got 65 pounds of peas from the 3 rows so if I can get 2/3 of that again I will be happy. The coop door works again and the stupid microstep controller is the constant problem so glad I got a pair. I need to start prepping the garlic area by removing the grass and weeds before I cover it with grain I will be getting on Saturday.

Any John Waters film
The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert
The silly butterfly mistook the chair cushion for a flower. It lapped at the cloth without even reacting to my closeness. No clue what exactly it was tasting but it was focused and that proboscis was tap tap tapping away.

The book series is great, my boys love them and get the monthly mag.

William "Billy" Witt lives dead smack in the middle of a suburban HOA but he produces a great deal of food right in his own backyard. On only 6/10th of an acre he is raising rabbits and tending a 900 square foot garden with very effective "statist jujitsu" and he joins us today to talk about how you can too.

A little planning goes a long ways. It's really very easy to do square foot gardening and can produce quite a lot. My 1/5 acre of gardens produced 5400 pounds last year and is something that is possible even on smaller suburban lots. Plastic or other type of mulch, drip irrigation, and fencing to keep pests at bay are the basics.
Morning #Nostr
I was thinking ahead yesterday and rolled the hay bale into the pen BEFORE going to my chiro appointment, which I needed pretty badly. The greenhouse needed attention as the cucumbers were getting lanky and needed tying. Mid afternoon I went through my carrot row and was pleasantly surprised to find I ACTUALLY grew some nice carrots for once. Noramally the soil won't allow it.

It damn well better be able to look at who it is pouring for and pour accordingly for that much.
I'd be the one holding it down to give me a full glass.
Like all antennas the higher they are mounted the better the signal. If you could put it up above the tree level it could possibly get you the distance you need.
