In principle, no.

I'm not saying it's not true but I will need to look it up tomorrow.

I have never sold or spent one single sat, except a few sporadic zaps here, but I don't entirely buy this whole diamond hands narrative and I think a lot of people have a burning desire to sell, and they will as soon as they break even.

Best option, Bisq, a P2P exchange. Robosats is very popular, but I've never been able to close an exchange in it.

You still have time to get a sufficient amount of sats (in future terms) on a centralized KYC exchange and run them through Whirpool to de-KYC them. Do it while it's possible. nostr:note1mt5v6r4tkv3pzg5djmutq58c5cgh3kt0pqekszvh43ky5u36mqwqxsvrlc

Compliance will be inevitable. They'll apply the same handbook they applied with covid - it will just be impossible to function normally in society without it.

The only way to resist is not to "not comply" but to build parallel systems, like bitcoin and Nostr. nostr:note1r9xh5en5f6hr9jc95njj60krgnv2578e8xa07uuktvwl7suy344qhryz9t

Damus used to be exasperating, it would fail to connect to any relays at all, all the time. I am using it right now though. I use desktop all the time too and I like Primal, but it has some incomprehensible faults like not being able to see my own notes if they're replies. I also have a Google Phone and I like Amethyst on that.

Proof of beef.

Especially taking into account that most of us have to constantly switch clients to do basic things.

I just came back from TX and FL, and I had this exact same conversation about the false idea that FL is a pro-gun state just because they're (currently) republican. All those NY votes aren't free.

The disparity among clients in syntax to quote notes or user handles is extremely annoying and speaks quite poorly of the whole concept of a "protocol".

Definitely not a communist. And perhaps not a fascist himself, but cozy with literal fascists. Argentina is so fucked up, like all of Latin America and Spain, that they are forced to choose between literal communists, literal fascists and fascist-adjacent Chicago Boys.

I don't understand the concept of an "illegal AI-generated graphic content".

For instance: as far as I know, people have been charged with obscenity charges for hosting the video of one serial killer who mutilated the corpse of a victim (not the actual murder).

However, no one is charged for hosting fictitious images of murders, torture or mutilations, regardless of how shocking or grotesque the fake images may be, even to the point of making people physically sick, because they are make-believe: there is no victim being killed or maimed.

I'll leave this here for those thinking about moving to Spain. Remember: this is only Income Tax + Social Security. Then you have 21% sales tax on most consumer goods, including fuel (which also has a 50%+ "especial" tax), heating gas, electricity and water. And tens if not hundreds of other revenue-capturing rackets.

Italy is more or less the same, I hear.

Unfortunately, Milei makes it easy, with his support, explicit or not, of military fascist dictatorships, ultranationalism and Catholic fundamentalism.

If you're a libertarian, you do not equivocate about any of those things - you denounce them clearly and strongly.

You can be a staunch anticommunist and also anti-Pinochet. And of course, if you are a libertarian, you know that Catholic doctrine has no place AT ALL in public policy.

There is a difference between being a libertarian and being a Thatcherite-Pinochetist Chicago Boy.

And maybe one's notes could be stored by one's own device, even? Based on one's preferences or configuration. And retrievable by others by accessing one's profile?

I have no idea about what the technical details of any of that would look like.

"Soap balls bazooka" made me giggle, I gotta admit it.
