In principle, no.

One thing I would not mind at all would be if Nostr clients only "caught" notes when they're online. Meaning, no storage at all. Pure real time relaying.

The problem with Milei is the same problem with most Latin American and Spanish "libertarians".

Which is that they come from fascist-adjacent corners of the political spectrum, with a very strong religious fundamentalist background.

Milei has many quotes in which he is cozy with and shows sympathy for the fascist military regimes in Argentina, Chile, Spain, etc., and unmistakably pro-Church public policy positions, i.e., antiliberal social policies.

It's the same phenomenon that makes "liberals" in Spain right now vote for a neatly and even proudly ultranationalist, openly fascist party called Vox.

These are "libertarians" who are only interested in being free to oppress minorities and those who don't think like they do, and to impose their religious and social fixations on everybody. In other words, low taxation fascists. nostr:note1e6vczz86ntptyvp86x7pm6sq4xzewqtscf0fn7szkethesmh29lq5wpw08

Cumulatively, even after I left Japan, I've spent years there and I still struggle with those fuckin things.

It's improved a lot now though and you will only find them in places like subway stations or, occasionally, in old commercial buildings. Often even in places that retain them, there will be at least one NORMAL (yes, I used the N-word) toilet.

In SE Asia too I've seen some progress, but even today they seem to be mostly stuck with the infernal "hole in the floor + water hose" combination.

I remember the first time I saw a sign on the door of a toilet stall in Singapore reminding people not to squat ON the toilet bowl. Meaning, not to climb on top of it and put their feet on the seat to shit while suspended over the hole.

But think about that free health care you get after three years of waiting!

In Spain it's literally double of what people pay in the US.

A little reminder that if we take Nov 2021's $69k to be BTC's ATH, today we would need a price of $75k to match the same purchase power. And that's based on the official, i.e., fake and politically motivated, CPI "data".

If you live in a place with hot summers, you know that one of the worst things is when you're in an air-conditioned space... except for the toilet. And you gotta go.

That's putting it mildly. It's by far the worst in Western Europe. Atrocious.

So many to choose from, it's not even funny

... But if you ever do...

Finally flying back home.

Texas, very disappointing. Seen the three major cities now, didn't like any of them.

Liking Southern Florida more everytime I go (but I very much doubt I can ever get past the stupid weather to the point of moving there).

One of the things that cracked me up the most when reading about it is the justification that people (?) should feel more "represented" and "included" by the figures because they often have unnatural skin colors like blue or fucsia.

Fuck me, I had never even been aware of it. Thanks for making me look into it and what it means. Reminded me of 1984's Newspeak and its aim at simplifying expression to simplify the range of thought and thus maximize obedience.

His conditions are acceptable because there will NEVER be a vaccine with "not even one injury case"...

But of course, what he really means is "with just some injury cases, the number of which I will be in charge of determining".

I'd rather look at the trees but ok.
