I've started noticing more partially busted pages while using VPNs. Payment boxes not loading, add to cart failed. Other weird things instead of being outright obviously VPN blocking the entire page or 16 CAPTCHAs.

Without looking into it at all, I'm gonna go ahead and say Fuck Cloudflare.

what does do you run at home vs what do you run in the cloud and why? I run my Bitcoin node behind tor as that seems best practices but I don't connect to it on the go.

it would be nice to run stuff on a home server, but I worry about a mix of privacy (ip leaking, security vulnerabilities), and uptime (power outages or network outages). recently lost power, forgot to restart my albyhub, lightning channels closed 😕

Am I the only one in the world that doesn’t love the movie Akira?

With its violence and gore and dark psychological aspects, it helped pave the way for mainstream adult animation. And it had amazing visuals for the time, with iconic aspects that were replicated elsewhere. So like, it’s objectively important in the history of the medium. No doubt about that.

But in terms of watching it, I don’t find it subjectively engaging, nor do I find myself recommending it like “you gotta watch Akira”.
