Been looking for a LN solution for zaps since nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq died. I run my own node and have been eyeing Nostr Wallet Connect but can’t figure a few things out.

¿ will my whole balance be spendable? I don’t want this cause I don’t want to fat finger a 1M sat zap. Can you/ does it create a wallet you can add funds to in small amounts?

Can anyone point me to a video or articles that explain this? Or DM me for a back&forth Q&A.

Maybe I just need to install it and try it out? OK fair enough. But I guess main question is will my whole LN stack be spendable? Cause Damus has no passcode, so what if someone picks up my phone and opens Damus?

When I set up my initial wallet, I used Electrum to generate the seed. I orange pilled a friend and helped her set up a wallet (with seed from Electrum) and tried to import her new (Electrum) seed into Trezor.

It didn’t work and I have since learned that Electrum uses a slightly different BIP protocol other than BIP-39. You can import it into another wallet, maybe because those wallets are programmed that way. But maybe hardware wallets (Trezor at least) won’t work with it.

QUESTION: I’m wondering if it makes sense to get a regular BIP-39 seed and transfer to new wallet. I don’t like this idea and I’d rather not. But I’m wondering if it’s dangerous, could I get stuck somehow in the future not being able to access my wallet without Electrum? Seems like a potential serious vulnerability.

CHEAP, delicious, & nutritional meal: 1 pack ramen (discard flavoring packet), 2T nutritional yeast, 2T TVP (textured vegetable protein…or add meat? Whatever you want), 2T mushroom powder/seasoning, 1/4tsp cayenne pepper, 3C water. 1 egg cooked on side however you like it.
