took me all of about 30 minutes to completely refactor #realy to separate the "filter" out of the filter type, which i achived by extracting the fields (kinds/authors/tags/since/until) from the existing plain muddled "filter" structure

it is now called `simple.Filter` and the reason for doing this was to make a single structure that embeds elsewhere that is the primary parameters for an actual `/filter` request on the simplified nostr HTTP API

now i have a full interface composed of single APIs so i can treat them as a whole or separately... it was an important step on the path to implementing a full simplified API

i did add a `/subscribe-fulltext` endpoint to distinguish between the words-and-filter distinction instead of repeating the same mistake of making "optional" things when i want them to be extensions

Most companies raise money to fund the growth of the useful thing they do for society.

(Micro)Strategy still does a useful thing at its core, but the vast majority of it is now a money making exercise for its shareholders. I think this is the problem I have with it. It doesn’t do anything useful.

That is, unless you consider it a giant publicity drive for Bitcoin. But if that is true, then why is Bitcoin not doing more?

Adam Back, who I respect immensely, had a public bet that Bitcoin would reach $100K by the halving. He lost and Bitcoin didn’t reach that target until over 6 months later. It is still hanging around this value 10 months on.

This despite ETFs, MicroStrategy and the huge swell of wealth funds and strategic reserves being built around Bitcoin.

What’s going on? We all know that Bitcoin should be significantly higher by now, even without any of the adoption currently under way.

Bitcoin will still do its thing, but I’m not sure the publicity is making any difference.

I’m pretty analog about it. I’m good at collecting and filtering info; it’s one of my strengths among many other weaknesses. I focus on like a dozen specialists. An AI expert. An energy expert. A South American expert, etc. I keep track of what they say. And then I have various software tools like YCharts, FASTGraphs, to map out quantitative deals. The St Louis Fed “FRED” site is also great.
