Fair enough, I will try to find the courage to stomach the smug fart sniffing lies and give it a second try
It is good to have reasonable discussions with people who have conflicting ideas about #Bitcoin.
It is NOT ok to give proven scammers a platform to regurgitate talking points which have been disproven 1000âs of times over the last 10+ years. This is especially true when said people are actively trying to sell a shitcoin as âthe real Bitcoinâ. nostr:note1telyaj7mvezgggkx2mq7jmwmdx7sa9fl33fdyt4jqv4c5273k8vqde3mh6
Do I think that Roger still believes his idea to change Bitcoin was a good one? Sure. But thatâs the beauty of Bitcoin, it doesnât care about one actor with a bad idea.
Do I believe Roger believes it is morally ok to market BCash as âthe real Bitcoinâ, 7 years after the market rejected his idea? LMFAO absolute not. And if he does, he is by definition insane. This is the scam, regardless of his sanity.
I find that very hard to believe. But even if true, it doesnât change the fact that it is a scam
They owned the domain bitcoin . com, and marketed their shitfork to people as âthe real Bitcoinâ, for YEARS after. How is that not a scam??
Giving a scammer a platform is a waste of everyoneâs time.
Are you saying that he diverts from being a scammer after the first 5min? Because what I heard in those 5min was literally him reiterating the same scam talking points he has been spewing for nearly a decade (literally the same garbage đ)
nostr:npub12qz56plzehejkyp4waaannmnny4y4c30j8q55a3wlk49haslga2snypdx8 if you say he diverges from that narrative, I will watch more of the interview. But I would still question why he spreads that misinformation
Hard disagree here. I was around back then and things were very uncertain. I was much earlier in my Bitcoin understanding and wasnât sure what to think.
But this guy, along with some other fraudsters, spent YEARS telling people their shitcoin was âthe real Bitcoinâ well after the market had voted. Heâs basically still telling the same lie in the first 5min of this interview, in 2024 đ¤˘
In other words, he continues scamming people to this day. Yes he tried to change Bitcoin and failed - thatâs ok. Itâs his actions since that event that make him a scammer. Anyone giving him a platform at this point is doing a disservice IMO.
Watched the first 5minâŚ. Heâs still spewing the same âmuh whitepaperâ garbage from 7 years ago.
Why is nostr:npub12qz56plzehejkyp4waaannmnny4y4c30j8q55a3wlk49haslga2snypdx8 giving this scammer a platform?
One minor positive of mass global surveillance is catching these dickbags who operate above the law đ¤
I know there are some services that aggregate data from multiple relays. Do you know which ones are active? Preferably something with a central DB that can be queried with SQL?
Thanks! Would love to contribute, but app development is way outside my domain.
These days I mostly do âanalytics engineeringâ - IE a lot of data modeling, normalizing and de-normalizing, validation, etc. for BI/analytics use cases. If you know of any need for that in the Nostr ecosystem, I would happily start contributing
Anyone know an easy way to download a GIF from Damus on iOS? When I save it just captures a still image nostr:note1p046ax2pwx2vk2dc62g0yk2wg5rjvs5z4qd3tcj7ed45dgacykxqfepn7c
Just some shaved ribeye with dark soy sauce and oyster sauce.
