Oh, nvm, donât spend time answering, I can see that all your life is believing and promoting the US is the ultimate evil and nothing else matters
Yeah, unbelievable but not everybody was born as a native english speaker or being able to invest a huge amount of time into dedicated learning
You donât imagine at all how it sounds for people whoâs countries at war, do you?
>> Governments will eventually be just another past horror that people read about in history books đ
When everyone owns a gun, who owns a tank?
That is what you wrote. Probably you have assumed something else, but to make it more sound and viral omitted it idk
But it reads pretty insulting for those states which âgo to warâ because they have to
And todays sentiment is âany war is badâ and how ridiculous and unbelievable it sounds - but a lot of ppl take this claim even further and say âwars are sooo bad that one should better get enslaved and genocided than going to warâ
So tbh such claims donât help much
There are at least 2 states going to war in every case. Do you claim they all do it JUST to avoid telling the truth?
How many times in your life terrorists and terrorist states used misinformation against your country and your family?
I know its hard to believe, especially been in software development, know it by myself â but govts everyday protects millions of ppl from being dumb
They do it extremely inefficiently on internet and its annoying and needs to be changed. But it doesnât mean this should not be done at all
Its a protocol, yes, and it needs tools. Nobody uses http, pop and imap, everybody use gmail and facebook
And those tools must have options to fight with misinformation. Want tools for terrorist? Ok, go build it and have plans to fight with govts
My question is whether nostr community has any tools for good ppl in mind or it blindly believes that no tools will work better than govt regulations?
Iâm saying that misinformation is actually a real and a big problem. It is difficult to fight with though. And the ways govts fight with it are often times inadequate (as very many things govts do very inefficiently i.e. money management)
But the fact govts handle this problem bad doesnât mean the problem doesnât exist. And highly unlikely that if instead not handle the problem at all things to become net positive.
Iâm developing for nostr. And I know on my own unfortunately, how bad misinformation in social media is in real life. And claims like âlet your enemies speakâ only make me less want to help nostr live. Because I know on my own awful example what happens âwhen your enemy speaksâ saying 1000% lies
Nostr needs to provide censorship resistance to real people with good intentions. But at the same tome nostr needs to find the ways to address problems of people with bad intentions playing their own game. And not handling it at all - is not a viable solution.
So you see those letters as a pure attack on social media without it being a fix to some problem correct? And if yes, I assume, you think those letters addressed purely to for one single reason - for govt control social media as they like against humanity, plebs, peoples, nations etc, correct? Those letters pursue only the interests of some THEM? WEF, Elites, Reptiloids etc right? Thats how you see âthose lettersâ?
So you think those letters have no background at all and just made to make Elonâs and his X users life more complicated? Those letters are not trying to fix something, even if in a very inefficient way?
And yeah, be sure, if nostr adopts, it will get the same letters - clients may be deleted from app stores, or at least requested to. Relay operators will get such letters too
Nostr doesnât fix it in any way no except for accepting tons of spam of different types. And as we know, spam (and misinformation) is usually used as a weapon and not as a shield
Or are there any work done in nostr in order not to only allow all types of spam to be present but also different mechanics to navigate this spam and being able to make your own, better conclusions ?
This seems very promising, if limited (SPAs). Am I missing anything?

Iâd say it looks interesting but not promising. Because it does not solve any problem today nor adds any value (today)
There are plenty of platforms where you could host your SPA for free, with great guarantees, fast servers and CDNs, nostr doesnât provide any of those
Censorship resistant SPA? There is no problem like that today
It takes good people to do nothing for bad people to win
I once read all possible software was running on 640K and what do we have today, node hello world 1GB?!
But hottest portable gaming station != mainstream desktop unfortunately
Title âsenior software developerâ doesnât mean anything today.
Business wants a lot of simple software products.
Business doesnât want to pay for complex engineering solutions.
Definitions of a âtrue engineerâ changed a lot and those who acquired it in the past donât like it â itâs a very good thing today our software doesnât have to deal with 250 different driver. Its a good thing today âcross browser compatibilityâ almost does not exist.
It does not mean an engineer who knows how to fix cross browser issues is senior and one who believes browsers mostly interoperable â is not.
How does dollar get imposed by force today? And lets not discuss something that took place 20, 50 or 100 years ago. How dollar imposed by force TODAY?
If you mean that âUS participating in collective defense with allies to enable free and safe businessâ is âby forceâ then how do you call rusia committing genocide in real-time TODAY? and for 30 years non stop. And they by the way can impose their empire currency even on occupied territories in some cases
So this argument is completely pointless. Its bad protecting bitcoin by simply attacking dollar and everyone behind it
