- Building a large chicken-coup (30-50 chickens)
- Working on asknostr.site
Terrible multitasker though, so it's all in on either of those (combined with job/parent responsabilities)
I built a new micro-client for nostr called Openly
It's a completely private, no sign-up service that let's you #asknostr any question with one-click
Notes and replies are stored locally in the browser on the user's device
I made this because I have many stupid questions that I didn't want associated with my identity and the friction of creating another account prevented me from asking
Need sources? Google it
Need it fast? Use AI
Want replies from actual people? Ask Openly
Provided completely open source:
Super cool! Great idea too. Let me see if i can link to that from asknostr.site
Suggestion would be to add the 'client' tag to the events so you can see how many people are using your app?
I'm interested in helping out.
So used to pocketcast and i find Fountain to be a little overwhelming :-)
Rolled out a test-feature to https://asknostr.site to summarise questions as a one-liner. This allows for simpler UI (overview pages, author/tag pages) as questions are easier to scan but it adds an LLM/AI component which I try to avoid where I can.
Please note i have only 'enriched' the questions from today so make sure that filter is on (video below).
Let me know what you think about showing the LLM summaries instead of the full event on overview pages?
All changes:
β Added LLM summary to top of question
β Indicate/Warn with about questions that are not real questions
β Fix issue with hydration on home/error page
β Brought back author/avatar hover on home/tag/browse pages
β Cleaned up question page (spacing/background)
β Speed up up/downvote + improved warning
Tnx! That means a lot coming from you π
I have so many more plans, but so little time.
So i have to practice patience, make a few improvements every week which will compound
Something like https://asknostr.site ?
Shipped a few important changes to https://asknostr.site
- ask question panel now stores your draft + adds the tags of the tag you're browsing
- ability to reply in threads
- improved how long threads are displayed
- fixed some bugs on how date filtering/paging worked
- better rendering/fetching of profile data
- faster loading of homepage/browse
Hope ya'll like it!
Primal should really remove notifications from people on the mute list. It's my nr 1 frustration using primal
Agree π―. Have you checked https://asknostr.site/browse ? (sending this answer from there)
Let me know if you have any tips/bugs/ideas on how to improve it.
i use Orion (from Kagi). Sucks on mobile though
I try to use AI tools as little as possible but:
- coding assistance (in intelliJ) for when I'm stuck or need to do something i'm not skilled at enough (and that's a lot)
- raycast AI for spelling/rewrite checks, or doing quick LLM/simple tasks (turn this into a json, format, etc...)
No KYC E-Sim with European numbers. That's crazy! I wonder how long that's going to last
Don't think it's the best idea. There are a few options already.
Just my 2 sats
Notebook on my desk/I carry around all the time.
And linear for company work
Struggling with the word βagentsβ in this context
But hey, just a while ago I asked someone what they meant with v4v
I agree. But maybe flying under the radar a little longer while we improve the eco-system/tools/network is a good thing?
My plan to contribute to nostr is to build a content discovery site where people don't need to understand nostr or it's terminology/concepts to get value from the network.
People googling questions about coffee, dadlife, photography would find great (non-gated) content and gradually be introduced to the network when they create their first account, want to reply or bookmark some content.
I believe this can bring in millions of users. Both StackOverflow and Quora have estimated over 10-30 million contributors (not readers). Converting a fraction of that traffic to Ostriches would be amazing (and one of my key goals)
