i feel attacked..
Funny the 'shitcoiners' say the same thing about 'Toxic maxi' as well.. it's almost like there is a shared mindset there... this idea that "you're not doing what I'm doing or believing in what I believe therefore you are whatever thing I say you are" - which also just happens to be that the 'others' are wrong and stupid and so on.
There is value in other coins as well. Personally I think BTC / LTC / DOGE are the ones who will survive. They're the Gold, silver, and bronze of the crypto world.
Many will disagree with that, doesn't matter. They're allowed to. I'm not going to call them dumb or anything though, as generally anyone getting into any crypto is a good thing. It promotes learning about the space and sooner or later everyone comes around to BTC, once you can get past the 'community' that is...
This is absolutely true. I was a bit off BTC because I couldn't see the possibility of paying for a drink / burger etc - can't do that when you have to wait up to 20 minutes and pay a fee higher than the cost of the drink.
LIghtning changes all that. BTC is definitely ok to use for small and fast transactions.
we might be just the evolutionary stepping stone to AI - we cannot live long enough for interstellar travel, we are susceptible to radiation and the lack of gravity etc.. Mechanical / silicon based life would have none of those problems.
The extended family.

Keen for the park.

In a spreadsheet on google colab with all my other logins and passwords.
My IRL friends and family use Messenger (something I've yet to break them out of). That's the tough one to beat I think. Twitter is easy to let go of, but FB / messenger.. not so much.
Easy for me - every month is 'no twitter month'.
I left twitter after 1 day of using Nostr on Iris.
Just a good article if you haven't already seen it:

Our Red Nose Pittie has a love heart on his nose.

That's neither the meaning of 'micro-agression' or accurate but whatever blows your hair back..
It's possible to enjoy things without trying to pull others down who don't do what you do.
To say an entire group of people from massively diverse populations all think the same because they use other types of crypto coin IS close minded.
This pseudo-fanaticism is tiring for all involved and again - drives away adoption.
I'm quite secure in my choices and knowledge thanks. Quite willing to listen to people, but when they stand bringing others down to build themselves up - it usually means they're not really that secure or confident in their choices or statements.
Good luck with it anyway.
Schools could concentrate on teaching math, language, and science. Instead we have math and English classes all about 'the gender bread man' and nonsense like that.
The focus is on 'social education' now, not actual education. Education is dangerous. It creates people who may not agree with what they're told and who might even start saying things contrary to the current social narratives.
Already disappointed, that's why I'm here. Elon has revealed himself to be a massive hypocrite so I lost any trust in his platforms and to be honest, tech in general.
Stretching that bow so far it'll break..
We get it - you only like BTC. Congrats, well done.
Nostr stands on its own as a technology and it's a great one.
BTC is great too, but so are other coins.
Very close minded view this whole 'everything not BTC is a shitcoin'. No different to the people who think BTC is a 'scam currency' because it's not Fiat.
This is the type of thing that drives people away from BTC - a toxic and hostile community.
Programming tutorials are terrible..
"Ok, so open the IDE, go to options and select this thing that isn't there for you" - good luck you're on your own.
I can't count how many of them have STEP 1 that simply doesn't work.
Like the POM edits - "Add this to your POM" - compiler - "Malformed POM'
It's just endless constant frustration.
Do you think "Pay to relay" is just another way of pseudo-banning users / segregating the network between those who can pay and those who cannot?
In a way it's kind of worse because it's a monetary 'ban' not for behaviour.
