civil liberty through complex mathematics

I’m trying to think a bit more like that and share condensed thoughts/media that can be quickly absorbed, in hopes a conversation starts. I was never keen on journaling, so I tend to only want to share something when I think others can make use of it, which I rarely think about my random thoughts. I’m trying, #nostr !!!

Lugano, Switzerland recently unveiled its new Satoshi Nakamoto statue #art #satoshi #bitcoinart https://video.nostr.build/25ff68ab32f1b16b3aa623d5b5e41541d29103b43c3f37b6d1d6bb91dd3a2a69.mp4

GM fren! It’s going to be an unbelievably amazing day

I love the no-delete feature here. It helps one be more thoughtful in their posting knowing their posts are being etched into the landscape forever. I was a serial deleter on Reddit an i drove myself nuts with it

Highly recommend book. We are the new leaders, empowered by hard money and eyes wide open #books #revolution #anarchy

The greatest illusion of this moment #bitcoin

I know that 1000 sats per dollar = a $100,000 Bitcoin and 100 sats per dollar = a $1,000,000 Bitcoin. But when I look at this graph I can’t compute what the price of a coin would be at 800 sats per dollar or 300. It falls apart in my head!

Could someone better than me at math give a formula to feed the calculator for this?

I’m a non-developer enthusiast most interested in the open source software and hardware that power bitcoin transactions. I build DIY hardware wallets like the seedsigner, and I like to discuss build methods, software for these devices and helping people make the switch from shady corporate HWs like the ledger. I think all of that is mostly out in the fairway. I’ll definitely check out communities because I’m still thinking Reddit-like about social media and hashtags irk me, subreddits make sense. TY!

I’ve been wondering how many bitcoin ticker devices people bought that only had 5 digit placeholders and flipped at 100K like an ‘89 Chevy Nova’s odometer and are now reporting a $4,200 bitcoin price

Bitcoin being pseudonymous can’t do what monero does, which is provide complete secrecy of transaction details. Bitcoin was never designed to do this, but monero will *never* see the gains that bitcoin will, so it makes little sense to hold your stack in monero. But if you want your purchases truly untraceable from your KYC-bought coin, hodl bitcoin, then either: bitcoin—>monero—>spend. Or: bitcoin—>monero—>bitcoin—>spend.

my contribution to orange-pilling society: I have a ton of these coins, and I’ll go out to busy places with lots of pedestrians a toss one on the ground, B side up of course, step back and wait for folks to find them. It’s usually kids who notice them first, and I just let them walk off with it. But adults: a different story. You can tell by their body language the ones who’ve heard of bitcoin and think they’ve just found a real one. Some people even start jumping and celebrating, so then I curiously stroll by to see what the commotion is about and tell them oh no, they’ve only found a trinket and that real bitcoin must be bought online. Then a torrent of questions follows, even from skeptics who would likely never expose their curiosity to a friend or relative trying to orange-pill them, but because they don’t see a threat in me, and I’m just just a dude walking by to see what they’ve found who happens to know everything about bitcoin, they open up like blossoming flowers. After I casually dispel a few myths without showing any overly hype-y enthusiasm, I’ll try and shove off as if I’m late for the tube, but then they’ll ask for specific websites to buy at and what are the first steps (well, I suppose I have a couple minutes), etc. tl;dr: it’s easier to orange-pill people, even complete skeptics, who don’t know you and therefore aren’t blinded by their predetermined notions that you might be trying to manipulate or misinform them. #orangepill #bitcoin
