Winter is here (snow and days that never go above freezing) and I still haven't finished putting my garden to bed. I guess I'll be trying to finish weeding and mulching in the cold.
My husband's car died at the airport this week so he is taking the pickup hunting. We had to shovel the mulch out of the back onto our back porch in a snow storm so I can do some mulching this week and he has a place to throw an elk.
I see cold fingers in my future.

This is how things feel when you live in a world that has gone so crazy that every real news article seems like it should be satire like in the Babylon Bee.
I'm thinking my next phone will be an Above Phone. I just can't get myself to buy it right now since I just got a new phone before discovering the Above phone.
By the US actions, I can only conclude that there are people in the US government who want to start WWIII and even a nuclear WWIII. I just hope Russia keeps up their gallant self control.

I like diversification. I think BTC is likely to be the best long term, so I am putting a decent amount away. Currently USD is easiest to use for paying basic bills, so I have some of that. Gold/silver are good stores of value and although they don't work well for very small/large or distant transactions, they aren't going to lose value and will work in situations where BTC can't (no power, no internet) and when cash won't (hyperinflation). Having some of all 3 puts me in an optimal position in all situations.
About 24 hours, but it depends on what you are freeze drying. If it is something very juicy or thicker, it could take longer. If it drier and/or in smaller/thinner pieces, it could take less.
I love my freeze dryer. I don't know if I've gotten my money's worth yet (I have used it a good bit), but it has been fun and I am freeze drying higher quality stuff than what you can normally buy in a store.
I think the issue is whether we/they are trying to be like the character of God (in God's image) or to be gods ourselves and replace God. Lucifer was the most beautiful angel and didn't like being 2nd to God and therefore rebelled. He wanted to be the god himself. He then tempted Eve to follow his same sin.
I used to really look down on Adam and Eve for disobeying God. It seemed ridiculous that they couldn't obey the single law (don't eat from the one tree). I then realized that it doesn't sound like it took long to disobey God. I had to remember, that although Adam and Eve were created as adults and were very intelligent. they only had the experience of a baby. They had very little experience and had neve heard a lie before. We are used to hearing and recognizing lies. They were not. If all a person had ever heard was true, it would be easy (although still wrong) to believe a lie. I decided I needed to be a bit more humble about how I thought I never would have made the same mistake.
I love the optimism and solution orientation of NOSTR. On other social media people complain about the problems. On NOSTR people work towards solutions, whether it is self sufficiency in their personal lives or building tech to further freedom and information.
Politicians love to regulate things they don't understand. Because they don't understand things, their solutions are always harmful and have harmful side effects that they didn't foresee.
Most politicians are politicians are politicians because they want power but can't earn it through merit. They are the people that have high self esteem, thinking they are smarter than everyone else, but they only think this because they are too stupid to understand their deficiencies.
A scientific study looked at self esteem. Those with the least understanding overestimated their knowledge on subjects because they knew too little to understand what they don't know. Those who most would deem experts underestimated their knowledge because they actually knew enough to understand what they don't know. I think this applies doubly to politicians.
This is just one of many reasons I won't use any of these services. I don't trust anyone with my DNA.
I was a little concerned that the Ukraine/Russia war could turn into WWIII. I am even more concerned that the Hamas/Israel war could turn into WWIII. If Iran gets involved, then the US will come in. If the US comes in and attacks Iran, Russia will come to its rescue. I could see this escalating quickly. I sure hope I'm wrong and it doesn't come to that.
Whatever the case, I can pretty much guarantee the US will get involved. They can't seem to help themselves. They seem to believe that no war can happen without them.
I usually do my gardening in a dress (with leggings short/long underneath). I have lots of dresses with really big deep pockets that I don't find in women's pants and they are cool and comfy.
And they are throwing it into the face of God by using the rainbow (God's sign or his mercy) as a symbol of their anti-God actions and attitude. I do not believe the choice of this symbol was an accident.
There is no human right that requires taking from another or infringing on their rights to life, liberty, or property.
The government and government employees are completely divorced from reality. Besides the fact that ILLEGAL aliens are in the country illegally and therefore should be kicked out of the country, it is insane to require banks to give loans to illegal aliens because they are too big of a risk. An illegal alien has proven they don't care about laws and therefore they are more likely to not repay their loans. Because they are here illegally, they could get deported and then be unable and/or unwilling to repay their loans and there would be no way for a bank to collect. In the same way they could get tired of being second class citizens and just decide to leave the country and also not repay loans. No person or business in the right mind would give a loan to most illegal aliens (I won't discount some exception where the person was personally known).
Since the government bypasses normal economic laws (temporarily anyway), they don't understand how things really work. They make laws that may sound good, but are contrary to reality and therefore will cause destruction.
Anarchists don't force anyone to do anything. If people want to live in controlled enclaves, they have the right to do so.
I was reading an article from Dr. Robert Malone's substack email list and thought this quote was insightful.
