In the silence, with focused attention, it’s possible to notice that the self (“that feeling that you are you”), is just that: a feeling. It is *an *appearance*. A creation of the mind. Similar to how a flavor appears on the tongue, this feeling of self comes and goes. It is not permanent. Rather, it is something that can be noticed. Like a cloud forming and passing in the sky, or a wave that arises in the ocean and fades away.

Neither clouds nor waves have an independent existence. The same is true with thoughts. And that is all this Sense Of Self is: a thought. Like all thoughts, it arises and forms and passes away.

How long can you even hold onto a thought?

How long can you prevent a thought from coming into your mind?

Can you decide what your next thought will be?

#Meditation reveals the illusion, if you’re willing to look.

I doubt they’re going to sign a law for Freedom FROM Religion, but that would help.

Ever read #JedMcKenna?

If you liked Waking Life, you might like his first book, Spiritual Enlightenment: The Damnedest Thing.

If they didn’t want people to run like a herd, they could *schedule* a press conference rather than make impromptu announcements at a moment’s notice.

These people are doing their job, which is covering what the WH says.

Mocking this, especially FROM the position of the Press Secretary, demonstrates contempt for the office and its duties.

I read and understand the Emergency Access Kit instructions, but have not tested them. Maybe I should, just for my own practical experience. I’m simply much more familiar with seed phrases (through much practice) and was hoping to seen an OPTION to view them with Bitkey somehow.

For clarity, you are saying that I (as a sole owner of a singlesig wallet) could create a multisig 2 of 3 set up by adding two more wallets while continuing to use my original singlesig as one of the signers? I did not think that was possible. My understanding was that a multisig set up like this needed to start fresh with all new keys so, that’s how I set mine up.

I understand that the Bitkey is designed for non-technical people, but it would be nice for there to be an OPTION to obtain seed words in case CashApp ever experiences operational issues or otherwise deprecates the Bitkey project.

Would also be nice to allow it to connect to my own node over Tor, rather than Block’s servers. Otherwise, I cannot recommend it wholeheartedly to noobs.

No argument from me on *that* point.

I’m only questioning the professor’s bias and pointing to the many examples in history where countries “influence” others (by various means both peaceful and not). Note that I’m not saying that this makes it okay, just that it’s disingenuous to claim otherwise, or that the US/UK are somehow unique in this.
