They are important for people to be able to pretend it's an educational expense and not a party with frens. Numerous employers do actually pay for tech conferences for their devs as a way to optimize taxes..
How was it? One of my contracts back in the days used mercurial and surprisingly, I knew nda liked it. If it were to replace git as an industrial standard, i wouldn't mind at all
Jak už to tak bývá, se Svobodnými se v průzkumu nepočítalo.
He is whatever is most entertaining at the moment. In other words a true internet troll.
Ještě říznout dětské pořady a okrajová témata a vlastně bych s ním i souhlasil. Radši bych, aby stát projebal 100M ze všem ukradených peněz na vysílání zpráv, než skoro 8G z peněz ukradených skoro všem na vysílání zpráv a píčovin.
Don't worry, the desparation stage you seem to currently be in, passes eventually. Usually the sadness of current trend is replaced by optimism towards future trends. Also scaling down areas of interests from global or continental or even national issues to just your immediate vicinity, social bubble and thing you can actually change alone or with a little help helps tremendously.
I'd say yes.
Right now we are heading down the drain. In many important metrics we are the worst or close to bottom across europe. That's relatively new and a result of both long term collectivistic tendencies inherited from the previous regime and several botched short twrm stuff like response to Covid, energy crisis or war in UA.
Freedom of speech is getting noticably more limited. (still good, but the trend is increastingly negative)
Freedom of association is being constantly more and more limited via regulations.
I could go on for hours or even days and make it look like we are getting as rich as Namibia and as free as California, but the truth is, it's not all that bad, there are reasons to be cautious overall, but it's no apocalypse.
Does it allow for media in background on mobile?
Also yes, that was my previous setup on desktop until work forced to use a chromium based browser.
In app, yes. With Brave it is perfactly usable. The only thing I kind of miss are reply notifications, but since I don't debate there often, it's not a big deal. And I don't have to sponsor Alphabet...
Just tried it and for me it's not a good fit. Doesn't block YT ads and doesn't allow media in background. For me those are the two most used features I absolutely rely on.
It may be better for some folks (especially since it allows extensions, which Brave has a problem with on mobile) but not for me.
As a Brave user both on desktop and mobile, Kiwi looks pretty dope at a first glance.
On mobile, the most important feature of Brave is the ability to play youtube videos in background. (even with the display turned off) Can Kiwi do that too? If yes, it may actually be superior to Brave.
Brbave does offer some nice features (ad blocking, media in background etc.) but they also push shit I don't want for myself and don't like that they engage in them. (like shitcoin wallets) And it has a history of shady things. (like autofilling affiliate links without telling the user)
If Kiwi has a clean slate, does care about my privacy at least as much as Brave does and allows me to turn off the display on Youtube, I am instantly in.

Obávám se. že dotyčný vkládá moc velkou důvěru v racionalitu unijních procesů. To, že něčemu nerozumí neznamená, že to nezavedou.
Vim is great and you just suck
Just learn vim and don't say yuck until you have given it a try.
It will be worth it, do not cry.
Once you learn, it sucks you in. Calm down mate, no worrying. You can do quite everything using keyboard inside Vim.
Days have passed it all went smooth
See? I told you, Vim is good.
What you say? You want to quit?
Why would you? Vim is lit.
Don't you leave me mister. Stay!
Otherwise you'll have to pay.
You see there is a hidden clause
You must use Vim without a pause.
It has been an entire year.
You will die here now you fear.
Desparation takes you over, you cannot endure this sober.
Five gins later, on you knees
You pray to god to help you please.
A deep voice descends from sky
Firs you sin and now you cry?
I will repent, you yell out loud.
Now listen here responds a cloud.
If to exit vim is what you desire, set your computer on fire.
Rig it with some dynamite then blow it up, alright?
Now go my child, live your live free of sin. Never again try coding in Vim.
Cožeco? Asi už jsem moc starý. Já tý dnešní mládeži nějak nerozumím.
Jak romantické. :)
React specifically has the largest, most confusing and most diverse ecosystem. It's not entirely unique, but due to it's ecosystem's size it has some problems that are unique among it's peers. And even without the size. just like every other framework (no, it's not a library despite claiming to be one) it has unique problems stemming from the nature of how it's designed and/or implemented
That last sentence is the key. I for instance pretty much reverted to TS entirely despite previously kind of hating on it. Some people would not touch it with a 6' pole and that's ok. I wouldn't touch Java or Python for instance, but you'll never find me hating on people that use it or those languages themselves.
