Me as well. Terrifying. Our cousin & my sister’s godfather’s house was destroyed by fires during a round of California fires years ago. Thankfully, they were ok & had the finances to rebuild.
Knowledge should not be a crime. And authors need paid. One reason why I encourage & teach reading— buy books if you can invest in them & share what you learn. Here is a piece from December 2022 from LRB— “And simply busting open the doors to the libraries will not magically make their contents accessible to everyone. Despite shadow libraries’ roots in Soviet and post-Soviet samizdat culture, and despite their widespread adoption by university students in India, Argentina and Brazil, rates of use on the leading sites are highest among well-educated Europeans and Americans. Anna’s Archive’s catalogue of ‘all the books in existence’ could not by itself rectify the many inequalities of access. But it would be a start.” https://www.lrb.co.uk/blog/2022/december/in-the-shadow-library

So tragic. The death toll rises to 80 or more. I’ve never been to Hawaii but one of my roommates in college spent some of her childhood there— her mom’s roots are from the islands. I should reach out to her.
nostr:npub13mh45wl4u9ur26sxxwcklywgyt640s2dqkn6mvsu55302nwvqymq6xae0f I was hoping for a wine bar tbh 😜
Yes— I need both! ☺️
I want to be driving on this road. Hopefully, a coffee shop nearby (I’m a city gal— at the end of the day).
I don't care if this is nostr:npub1fndlt0xh7q26867xs5lx2enn97wpzdtmdepadvhdee6zl05cgl6q3dlrjm the real or not; these are the kind of questions we need to ask ourselves
dialogue is dialogue — very true.
🤣
thank you!
Thanks. I have a family member (extended family) who had Bitcoin before “normies” even had the vocabulary to talk about it & ask questions— language bridges gaps. Anyway, I used to follow people on Bitcoin Twitter— not learning very much — and it wasn’t until I deleted my Twitter that I had the random convo with this family member & made the discovery. He had to exchange it though— to pay medical bills & stuff. So I have a trusted person to ask if needed— but the tech & laws seem to keep changing.
I’m a reading specialist (not a classroom teacher) so glue is not on my back to school supply list. I need a new set of colorful pens though because the research about learning to read is pretty clear.
Good show— stressful to watch but very insightful. I found the ending revolting.
Unless it’s my work email— I barely read my personal email.
Now I get annoying texts from companies I was stupid enough to give my number.
Thankfully— I finally figured out that it was a faulty cord. It took me a whole day because I was reading— I always panic when my phone has issues.
