If container ship rates go up, then the cost of shipping everything that relies on those ships for transport goes up.
If the cost of shipping things goes up, then that cost will be passed on to the consumers (a.k.a: you).
If the costs to consumers goes up, then the CPI should go up (BLS shenanigans aside, of course).
If the CPI goes up, the that means inflation is not being 'tamed.'
If inflation is not being tamed, the Fed is less likely to cut interest rates any sooner.
Or - exactly what Lyn said.
And if interest rates stay this high for much longer?
Stand the fuck by...'cuz it's gonna get wild...
I didn't "let" anyone do anything. Shall we start in on all the magnificent things your government has done against your wishes - and shall we blame YOU for that?
Sure you want to go there? C'mon man...๐
I too enjoy pissing away money whilst simultaneously supporting Bangladeshi sweatshpo labor and contributing to landfills.
Not.
Obviously no one knows your kid as well as you do - so take it with a grain of salt coming from some random internet person who has never met you or your kid. ๐
But I wouldn't rule it out based on those criteria.
My kid is actually quite sociable, very compassionate, and most definitely Aspie!
I've also worked with a lot of kids (in a professional capacity) who fit that bill.
And they were all absolutely wonderful and very quirky kids.
Though they might test your compassion at times...as in 'left the oven on then left the house for the day'... ๐
Might be on the spectrum...just sayin' ๐
For What itโs Worth ..?

Just harvested bananas and a ton of dragonfruit. Choko squash and pumpkins are still on the vine. I do all my letuce and cilantro, herbs etc. in hydroponics these days (the sun is too brutal here in Oz and they all just bolt to seed - or the grasshoppers devour them). Jalapenos, tomatoes, peas, sweet potatoes are all pretty much year round. Got a few giant cucuzza squash (if you like zucchini/squash, you gotta try those things! They grow just about naywhere and they are HUGE.)
Lots of citrus coming in as well.
Gardening heals my soul...reminds me what an abundant universe we live in. ๐
For me it's the 'wallaby tax'...but yeah, I hear ya. ๐
If Javier is smart, he'll use a bunch of those to pay for a bunch of these...

Sorry. Boating accident.
Nice! Looks like you've got sandy soil there. Compost FTW!
We started by planting the things we eat the most often, and just kept adding to that list over time. It's amazing how many things we no longer have to buy anymore.
We get healthier and better tasting food AND mre funds available to buy satoshis. I call that a win/win. ๐ช
Gardening is peaceful rebellion!
Yeah, nostr:npub1c856kwjk524kef97hazw5e9jlkjq4333r6yxh2rtgefpd894ddpsmq6lkc is right. It's not Twitter and we are real people.
And I hereby SECOND Jack's "Get fucked."
Prayers for your brother and his continued healing. And I agree. ๐
This is an actual US Military recruiting commercial, they are not even hiding it any more. "Come join in the fun, use psyops against your fellow man and do more before 9AM than most people do all day", and such.

The sad irony is that most Americans will watch that and think, "Boy, those OTHER governments sure are nasty pieces of work!"
They have no idea...the Matrix has them.
I never said that; I don't put all of ANYONE 'into the same box.'
You appear incapable of nuance. Some of the protesters are nonviolent. Some are totally violent.
Good job projecting your own incapacity to use discernment.
Are those the same 'nonviolent protesters' I just saw smashing their way into university buildings at Colombia - or something else?
But I'm with you on that first and last paragraph.
