Thank god now I can read long texts without actually scrolling and trying to make a coherent whole by joining up puzzle pieces. I mean this is not really a comment on your text but I couldn't keep it inside. I mean after we have so many ways of sharing information with each other trying to read long threads was the thing that made feel old. I’m a guy living in Turkey. There was a huge earthquake in a very wide region. Even yesterday a few more earthquakes happened and even more buildings collapsed. Today I was listening to a podcast and they were estimating the total number buildings need to be removed completely (derbis, and demolishing the damaged ones) around 350.000 (not the households but the number of apartment buildings). So long story short he was explaining we will need around 15billion dollar budget to build new buildings. I mean I can’t even comprehend the magnitude of 44billion dollar and what good could have been done for protocols like NOSTR and Bitcoin with that kind of money.

To tip or donate the Nostrgram project should we use lightning address on your account? Or do you have a dedicated address for Nostrgram? I'm asking because there was just a pop-up on the screen telling me about hte update (and it's great) and telling us it would be great if we can tip but there was no clickable stuff for tipping/donating. By the way I had mad respect for you people. I think Umbrel fills such a hole in this current world it is difficult to describe. I even didn’t know this was a need before got orange pilled and spend hundreds of hours on Bitcoin stuff. Umbrel makes me feel like I have secret weapon that it makes everything all right in the end. My question is I can connect to Electrum Server, Bitcoin Core with my wallets from outside (non-local network) but for Nostr I need to VPN my computer or mobile app. Is there a way to connect them just like the wallets can connect to electrum server in my Umbrel?

Oh yeah my bad it’s on my follow list on Spotify it’s great one. I also heard TCB (Taking Care of Bitcoin) but never listened.

It is still pretty shaky around here and when you say “here” since we all use different clients it might be misleading to give you any suggestions. I tried Damus on phone and Nostgram on Web and my user experience almost completely different.

I mean why you suggest a hardfork for something that might be a problem in the future? It sounds ridiculously extreme and taking something happening now as a proof and taking it for confirming yourself is weird 🤔. For me the block fees I’m seeing now is the proof that Bitcoin fees will be sufficent in the future. I don’t know 🤷🏻
