I'm still very much in "explore" mode, trying to figure everything out, and relying heavily on info from https://meshtastic.org and YouTube.
I ordered two *different* devices; this RAK because I want at least one "field test" unit, and it is the lowest power consumption device available. I hope to eventually configure it with a solar panel and LiPo battery and field test it in various locations.
The other one, slated to arrive tomorrow, is less expensive and also has a display, but it is power-hungry so I will probably use it as a base-unit.
There seem to be many layers of complexity; it's clear that I have a LOT to learn, but the goal is to be the pioneer, figure out how to configure these things, see how to use them to send cash (Cashu), and see if I can eventually figure out how to produce "turnkey" systems that any/everyone in the local community can "just turn on and use."

made a mistake going up a small hill and over revved the engine, as it hit the top of the hill and rolled down the other side the speed picked up before the gears could be corrected and speed reduced.
At the bottom of the hill a police speed camera van.
