Season 1 set the bar sooo bloody high... I mean, the miniseries... Episode 1 ("33") is a master piece...

You never watched the end though? It's what truly made it all click for me. It has one of the most satisfying, fulfilling endings ever, despite the fact that they were cancelled and cut short. You get true closure, a luxury these days.

Once (ok, maybe twice) a year, I HAVE TO rewatch Battlestar Galactica (2004).

Everytime I get hyperengaged and sometimes even emotional about the amazing stories, characters and the relationships the writers put together episode after episode. Even the "fillers" are great.

I find myself coming back to it, rathar than watching some random new, probably unfulfilling show (but I do watch many anyway - it's not like I reject new shows).

I am rational enough to know that it was a great show, but probably not THAT great to be so stuck with it.

For the record, when the show was on TV I was studying in Tokyo, so basically I missed it, and I didn't get to watch it until years later, when I was quite past (so I think at least) my "formative years". Meaning, I don't think it's "teenage infatuation" (I have other shows, music and movies that cover that section).

I wonder why.

PS: this last bout of "galactitis" was triggered by watching the Mandalorian, obviously featuring Katee Sackhoff, aka Kara Thrace aka Starbuck, as Bo-Katan

This time I'm going for 6 months with check ins every 5 days. I started April 1.

We're either all geniuses for adopting bitcoin and nostr early, or we're a bunch of autists so disconnected from society that we don't know what people actually want.

I just spent like 5 hours making my own website and setting up my NIP05 with that domain and it doesn’t even work. Idk what I did wrong but I followed multiple guides step by step with the same results every time. Too tired to figure it out now but might need to enlist some help tomorrow. GN Nostriches

As far as i understand it’s a public server and they (ledger) can monitor your wallets and transactions.

Also the ability to install apps for other crypto introduces more attack surface.

But i am only digging into this very briefly 😅

Starting to suspect that the only safe restaurants at which you can be sure your food isn't adultered with bullshit additives are sushi shops.

To me, it is remarkable that:

1) Almost everyone on the planet seems to be “using/training” AI to make themselves more efficient without realizing that the improvement comes at the expense of their long term income.

And

2) While doing so, they advocate/reinforce a monetary/political system that pushes prices higher through manipulated money.

And

3) They fail to see the consequences of those 2 diametrically opposed paths.

Shows how many people only think in only first order effects.
