So I did an intermittent fasting experiment in February for 30 days. Worked well but I lost my way after I finished.

This time I'm going for 6 months with check ins every 5 days. I started April 1.

First check in was good. Will post progress screenshots as I go.

Proof of work 💪 keep it up!!

Didn't know that was humanly possible. Crazy knowledge

Your body can fluctuate 4-8 pounds in one day on just water. It's how fighters get into their weight class day of the fight then balloon back up.

6 Months will make sure I'm not just losing water :)

Yes but is it dangerous to go 6 months without eating?

Oh gosh, I wouldn't do that lol. 18 hours no eating, 6 hour eating window. Intermittent fasting, not full fast for 6 months.

Your metabolism changes eating fat, you don’t have the energy highs and lows, you eat when you’re hungry which is usually once a day.

Oh OK, I was generally concerned 😟, that sounds much safer. I am intermittent fasting 11am-6pm , probably will do my best to stick to that

If it helps . Ive lost 12 lbs and went from 21% body fat to 18٪ body fat in 2.5 months

I lift weights ( just some dumbbells and a bench & pull up bar ) 4 times a week and run 1 mile 2 times a week , depends how i feel sometimes just once a week .

But the most important part to me is im eating low on fat high on protein . So far it has made a big difference on me . If you want more detail let me know .

Love it, I can't run due to some injuries but I lift and bike 3/4 times a week. Dumbbells, pullup bar and stationary bike

I try to eat high protein but with kids around we tend to eat some carbs too. We do avoid seed oils though.

What's your workout routine?

Monday : chest triceps and shoulders . With some abs at the end .

Tuesday : biceps back and trapezius with some abs at the end .

Wednesday : run 1 mile and then do some leg work out with weights .

Thrusday : same as monday

Friday same as tuesday

Saturday : same as wednesday

Sunday : off

How long is your fasting window?

18/6 on 5/6 days a week 20/4 on 1/2 days a week

Makes sense to have that extra flexibility on weekdays.

Good luck mate!

I've been doing it for 12 years nonstop. You will get there in time just have patience to let your body adapt 💪

Any recommendations?

I’ve been carnivore/OMAD for 5+ yrs, fasting is super easy now

I wish I could go carnivore but with two kids we can't handle all the cooking for what they eat and then for a carnivore diet. Maybe someday :)

Ten day check in. Some progress but want to see more at the 15 day.

Yes, my usual. 20 mins cardio + lift 4x a week
