I actually came up with a neat trick today. You know those moving platforms in SMB1? They kinda sway back and forth in a smooth motion, so no abrupt stops at the edges
Well, I'd already added moving platforms that can move in a sort of quarter sphere motion, and I figured out if I create a platform that goes around in a circle, then flatten the path horizontally or vertically, it behaves the same as those smooth platforms in SMB :D

They don't think about the fact that you need to come up with *all* the stuff nobody else wants to bother figuring out, and that sometimes you have to tell people to do things they may not fully agree with, and somehow you have to navigate that in a way that doesn't completely destroys morale

a lot of people are suggesting i cut the alarm clock open but given that i dont know the location of the battery that makes me very nervous, as far as i know you don't exactly wanna perforate a lithium ion battery

so my busted alarm clock has a lithium ion battery in it. it cannot be opened to extract the battery. i am now the owner of a busted alarm clock because i cant throw it out because they stuck a li-ion battery in there when some AA batteries would've sufficed as a backup
