I’ve looked at making stickers a few times (even to the point of getting a cutting machine) …. And I come back to going with an online business, unless it’s for a very small amount just for my personal use. It’s not worth my time to get the quality and quantity an online place can do while I do other things. Good luck - would love to see what you create. 👍

It depends how involved you want to get. Absolute minimum would be a printer, a computer/pad to design the stickers, sticker paper, and scissors to cut out the stickers.

If you want the stickers to look good outside for more than a few days, you should laminate the stickers (add a clear protective layer). This can be done by hand or with a machine.

If you don’t want to deal with making the stickers, there are (in the US) a lot of online companies that you can send your design to, and they will print the stickers and mail them back to you. Price will be determined by size, kind (regular, vinyl, color, etc), and how many you order - the more you order, the less each sticker costs.

Search for “custom stickers” to get started.

Yes, zaps are like tips, but the “currency” is called sats, and they are tiny amounts of bitcoin, the way pennies are tiny amounts of a dollar.

I use the wallet that comes with Primal, which is another Nostr app, and other folks have made other wallet suggestions.

As mentioned, Nostr is a protocol which means you can use all of these different Nostr apps, made by different people, and it’s still your single account, unlike Facebook was only FB and what you posted on X wasn’t part of your Instagram account. I love this part because it was such a pain to maintain multiple accounts to share my art and writing.

You do want to make sure you keep track of your nsec - that’s like your password but it cannot be “reset” - if you loose it, you can’t get it back/get access to your account again. It’s easy to start a new account, though, because there isn’t anyone who can stop you. 👍

First week of exercises from my fitness trainer done! So sore, every day, but slowly getting better. I can hold the tree pose now. Marching band is still too much, but I can ow do the first minute without stopping (first day I could barely march for 20 seconds 😅).

I’d start by asking them what they get out of using X or Bluesky. Then, if Nostr can provide those things for them, talk to them/show them how and the positive differences there are to using a decentralized social media.

Make it a conversation where you listen to them compared to wanting to convince them to change their behavior, which is what you are really trying to get them to do, and most folks aren’t that open to doing.

I don’t think people come and stay in Nostr because someone says something to them. Due to things that make Nostr Nostr, an individual has to put in more work than any other social media, so they have to want to accomplish something here/have a reason to use this amazing, early, rough but lovable space.
