Like an object depicted in numerous ways by numerous painters, Om’s essence is uniquely manifested and accessed by different types of people all over the world.

As yogis commonly conclude their meditations with the chanting of Om, the Judeo-Christian utterance of β€œAmen,” and the Islamic version β€œAmin,” are used by followers to evoke the energy of the Divine at the end of a prayer.

Even within Hinduism, the meaning and connotations of Om is perceived in a variety of ways. Though heard and often written as β€œom,” due to the way it sounds when it is repeatedly chanted, the sacred syllable is originally and more accurately spelled as β€œaum.”

Aww, sorry to hear it.. Might sound weird but getting in the sun fixes a cold and gets rid of covid . The most important nutrient for your body is nature’s light . It reduces all cause morbidity. No sun screen or hat Or sunglasses ( or contacts or eye glasses) tho , your eyes and your skin want full spectrum nature when u have had enuf relax in the shade ☺️.

Yeah i getcha on that ! i use my herb garden for a cool tea on hot days and for winter medicinal teas . I will be harvesting them soon and drying them out fir storage.

What's your morning brew?

Mine is usually tea πŸ«– or something decaf.

Today I added herbs to my tea to make a grounding and rejuvenating blend specifically for Vata dosha.

Here's a bit of information on each of the ingredients:

Dashamoola - supports the lungs and nervous system and helps direct Vata energy down so you feel more grounded. I love the earthy taste of this!

Haritake - has the unique ability to both cleanse and rejuvenate. It increases prana which supports increased energy, intelligence, awareness, longevity, and emotional balance. It penetrates all 7 dhatus (tissue layers) to support the immune system. It's gentle "scraping" action is how it's able help with cleansing/detoxing/eliminating and maintaining healthy weight. I take a pinch of haritake and some honey whenever I think of it.

Shatavari - is nourishing and grounding. It's often used to support the female reproductive system, but is a renowned tonic for the digestive system and blood (especially in cases of excessive pitta/fire). I only use this on rare occasion as it can increase kapha (side effect is weight gain!).

Rose petal powder - is cooling, calming and anti-inflammatory. It purifiea the blood and can control acidity. It's also an aphrodisiac and helps with balancing the heart chakra. Perfect as we get ready to head into a long weekend. πŸ’œ

To prepare:

Add the following to a tea strainer inside a tea pot: 1/4 tsp each dashamoola, haritake, shatavari, and rose. Add a tsp of Indian Spice herbal tea (or a chai tea bag). Add boiling water.

Steep for 10 minutes, then served with steamed raw milk and Himalayan honey 🍯.

Preparing my winter pantry ..stewing tomatoes πŸ… ( second batch! One more to go) from my friend’s farm with lotsa basil and herbs from my herb garden. Gonna do seal n save because I use these up fast. The secret to vacuum sealing liquids is to freeze them first in a flat form same size as your bags. Then pop it out and slip into bag and seal it. The bonus is i can boil in bag if I want too which is great for my soups.

Yoga done, now on to Day 25 of Magic Breath Kriya. Going to 42 days. Hope you all have an awesome morning and take time to sit and quietly breath for 5 minutes before pouncing on your day! 😍

It really is. Its a meditation in itself. I think of it as a whole body mudra , if that makes sense.
